However, if the mortality rate of COVID-19 is as high as some experts estimate, it could potentially kill many more people than the flu.
As an example, during the 2009 H1N1 epidemic, about 60 million people were infected in the US according to the CDC. If the number of infected grows to similar numbers for COVID-19 and the mortality rate is 2%, this means 1.2 million people could die in the US. For comparison, the flu kills about 30,000 people per year in the US.

This is the best argument for including a Covid19 vaccine in the flu shot. Exposes the hypocrisy.the flu shot doesn’t protect you from much. I’ve never gotten one. I have many friends and relatives that have and they’re the ones who wind up getting the flu 🤷🏿♂️
