I remember saying no to this because i just got series 2 watch early this year...so no thanks. If it did support watch 2 then yes... i would get it.

I really, really should start making a list of all the things like this you must bend over for to be an apple walled-garden non-scaler.

WTF?!!! I hope it drives your car, cleans your house and plays music... oh wait, it just charges things. Such a rip off.

A $200 charger that adds a slight amount of convenience to the charging process that is currently included for free with any device you purchase. Dumb, but people will buy it anyway.

Look at all this price shock. Yet hop to a thread where Apple is not ranked number 1 in some market share story and people will gush "but who has the most profitable _________". How often do we post how much money Apple has in the bank like it's some big benefit to us consumers? How often do we put down the profitability of other companies like squeezing less out of their customers is clearly a show of inferiority? Look at a product like HomePod which has already been crowned as the best sounding speaker of its type before any of us have heard it, as part of rationalizing the pricing at 2X or 3X competitor offerings. Look at iPhone X with a price hike of a few hundred dollars yet we can only find fault with an entity like Best Buy seeking one more hundred for it.

We should make up our minds if consumers > corporation or vice versa... rather than flip flopping on subject after subject. Hop back to before rumors were piling up that Apple was going wireless charging and there is a huge pile of posts ridiculing the concept, praising the ease of charging via Lightning and being able to use while charging, etc. What happened to that sentiment? Apple finally endorses wireless charging and so now it is great... but we want to whine about Apple's pricing of it's charger... but later stand in line to buy one so we can claim first and "how did we ever get by with wired charging?"

The path to being the first trillion dollar company is built upon maximizing average revenue-per-customer. Apple has figured out that there can be a lot of added profit per unit sold in accessory products and/or proprietary licensing. We are apparently proud of Apple's rich profitability when it serves some other posting purpose. Why be shocked when it seems so exploitive in something like this?

My daughter was excited about the magic of wireless charging. I showed her this article.
Her immediate response:

"What is this?"

Uhhh... that's a wire.

Holy cow, that's insane! Not a chance I buy it then. I see zero reason to. It's a wireless charger, I can just buy 10.00 cheapies off amazon that do the same thing. Oh but I don't get the pretty interface. Seriously.. do.. not.. care! Love Apple but if that price is real, they've lost their minds on this one.

If they charge this much for a charger, I can’t wait to see how much the top spec 18 core iMac pro will be

Day late - Halloween was yesterday. But, still a spooky price likely made to make the HomePod's cost seem reasonable.

Will wait for the much less expensive 3rd party products that will do exactly the same thing and look just as OK on my table -- maybe better.

This is how Apple gets you - Grant and Benjamin-ing you. You see this is only $200 and think, "Hey, that's not too much!" but next thing you know you have to buy a new phone that supports inductive charging ($700+), AirPods ($160) plus the inductive case ($70), and an Apple Watch ($330+) to even make the most use of this AirPower device. Next thing you know you are out almost $2000 to make use of this pretty coaster.
You don’t have to buy anything.....people are perfectly willing to buy a $1000 iPhone.

This is the same irony of people spending $5 a day on coffee but complain about a $10 app.

Excellent, price suitable to current Apple's customer, another Tim hit!

Everyone keeps saying 199.99 but didn’t Apple say the charger for the AirPods would run 60.00? Now your at almost 300.00 for wireless charging?

My Anker wireless for my iPhone ran 14.99. I’m good
