Second what everyone is saying...this like wallpaper-ready pretty much! I mean if that Hertz thing wasn't there...absolutely stunning. Thanks for taking the great picture :)

That's what I was saying to myself actually. If that hertz thing wasn't there that would be my wallpaper. The lighting just seems to fit perfectly.

The first thing that popped in my head
- Since everyone is seeing 8 Icons
- What if they made 2 rows of 4 on the Dock???

Wallpaper if anyone is interested!

Stretched Icons, Why?

Maybe it means that the CAPABILITIES of these apps are (also) going to be stretched! We HAVE been waiting for a long time for overhauls to iTunes and the Music app for instance. Just "stretching" the possibilities here...

The one thing that still gives me a glimmer of hope that the iPhone 5 just could surprise us, and that's despite it losing its golden ratios, the "off" placement of the rear camera etc, is that quite simply - it just looks a bit crap.

I mean, ok so Jony Ive has his knighthood now and Steve is gone but does that mean he should give up on good design? This just looks proportionally wrong, it's not appealing to the eye. Forget specs and everything else and what you're left with is a design that doesn't look like Jony Ive would approve to me. There's a reason Apple have used golden ratios so often - they look right, this design does not. Please let this be an elaborate misdirection by Apple and give us something better! :)

free time is fun and stuff.

the cake is a lie.

now you're telling me the cake is an icon, ergo also a lie?!

now i don't know what to believe.

help me ghost of SJ.

You know it could just be that you're looking at a prototype or photoshop that someone created, save your opinions for the real thing on Wednesday. Who knows what will actually be released

To be honest, I'm not liking the rumored look of the iphone "5". If They want to go with a bigger screen, they should elongate it as well as widen it to be proportional. Now it just looks like a long stick.

Black and blue icons

In my opinion, the macrumors black icon with the question mark is the Phone app and the blue is the App Store, not the stock app.

So if this is right, they're keeping Game Center. Why? Anyone out there actually use it?

the green one must be iMessage

the missing app with the green background must be the Message app

Can anyone give examples of prior events where the banners have hidden meanings that turned out to be correct? People talk about it endlessly until the event and then everyone forgets about it.

Maybe, just maybe.... a hotdog is a just a hotdog, a tunnel is just a tunnel, and an Apple wallpaper is just colors made out of apps.

There's pretty much always a hidden message in Apple's banners and pre-announcement messages. Though the only one I can remember off the top of my head was when The Beatles came to Itunes.

this stretched iphone is the ugliest design Apple has done in a long while. It's a good thing they won that lawsuit because they've obviously run out of ideas. They should've left the form factor or done the sensible thing and made it bigger proportionately.

It would be super sweet if our apps just scaled and no redesigns were needed.

I think the green icon is my football app. Thanks for the free ad apple ;)
