The rumors seems true now..

Unfortunately. Kinda lame that the main focus appears to be a taller iPhone. How is that innovating? Hopefully Apple will have a surprise for us instead of a taller iPhone. While I do use Android, I really want Apple to do something "wow" that'll silent the Fandroids that always bash Apple.

I truly like both Apple and Google and want to see what they bring to the table.

If this is true of a new music app, i'll be greatly appreciative. I'm at my desk 8-10 hours a day and I stream PANDORA all day. I would like to have an all in one music app from apple. I would pay about 10 dollars a month to keep it in an "all in one stop music shop!" :)

As someone who also enjoys and appreciates both OS' (ios and android), I get annoyed when someone voices concerns about something iPhone related, there are responses like "Well, enjoy your plastic android then".

No wayyyyy really? A taller iPhone? Wow! And you figured that only by looking at the wall? Nothing else? Ok well then that cements it. The trusty ole promo on the wall finally solved the mystery on what the phone will look like. Congrats. You wasted 4 hours figuring out that omega code when the rest of us knew months ago. Let's give a round of applause for the genius who figured out what the iPhone 5 finally looks like!!!!! Lol idiot
Anger issues.

Why is it Apple's job to always come up with something WOW?

The Android platform is a copy of Apple's iOS including the entire iPhone concept.

People forget quickly how we used to have the dumb phones.
What is possible now is amazing.

Every product matures to a point where you can't get double leaps to the next feature.

If you go through all that the phones can do , you'll always land at the same improvements users want, but these are based on personal preferences.

I for one do not want a big size screen if it means that it no longer fits into my pockets comfortably.

Better camera front or back, not really necessary. The current 4S is pretty good, again for what I do.

More memory: ALWAYS
Longer battery life: ALWAYS
Faster processor: ALWAYS
Sharpest display: ALWAYS
THINNNER LIGHTER: ALWAYS, but not at the expense of usability.

LTE: Yes, when it's widely available and a no go for some time if it kills my unlimited ATT plan.

NFC maybe, lived all my life without it, so why would that be important now?

Form factor? Don't need a new design, just for design change.

Classic BRAUN school design and simplicity is appreciated by this cowboy, but I'll have to see what the 5 will feel and look like, being a tad out of the regular golden proportion parameters.

I am sure Ive is aware of it and pushed the envelope carefully enough to make it still acceptable.

In summary when fans or no fans play the comparison game I always wonder why.

I am fine with my iphone, not a spec hound and features I don't use and which are not ripe for prime time according to Apple (maybe price, maybe iOS related) I can wait for.

Every two years when my contract is up I re-evaluate what's out there.

So, far up to the 4S the iPhone has always won out, but if Apple starts losing it, it will lose me.

It doesn't bother me in the least that they only do incremental updates.
If it's not worth it I'll wait until it is! I always have two years to decide.

I am sure many users feel that way about features.

Too bad we can't get a survey about how many of the features both camps tout are really being used by everybody on a daily basis.

Buy what you like and what is best for you.

Somebody who wants to tell me that his/her phone is better (whatever brand) doesn't get that it doesn't matter, as only I decide what is best for me:)

PS: If Apple would come up with a "WOW" thing I would appreciate, it would be providing an alternative to ATT and VERIZON .

I would like to be gauged by Apple better than by these two characters:)

One thing's for sure, it's going to be interesting to see how they pitch this new phone on Wednesday. There's nothing revolutionary about it by virtue of how far ahead the competition have come in the same amount of time.

I'm really worried that beyond the colorfully refreshed ipods, the entire event is going to be a bit of a damp squib.

Let's hope I'm wrong.

Now that SIRI can open apps, I wonder it this will squash another feature of the Galaxy S3 commands "Open Camera and take a picture" done in 3 seconds. There is just something about the Galaxy S3, I just do not like, its a wonder why they were sued, too identical, but yet so behind.

I'm pretty sure we could more deeply into this. What about the fact that the Apple logo and stretched icons appear to be behind bars? Could this be Apple's attempt to tell us that they've been taken hostage by some terrorist group? Is this their subliminal cry for help?!

Or are they just windows covered by decals?

How is my opinion "Thread Crapping" ? ? ?

Oh , I see ......I'm not happy with the idea of a taller iPhone so that makes me the enemy .....Right ?

No, because your post offers no value to the conversation at hand. You simply told us what you don't want and what you're planning to do in retaliation; as if we need to know that you plan to buy a different phone.

You're being WAY too literal with this. It's a visual metaphor, not a graphical diagram that's intended to precisely outline anything in an exact way.

Uh..duh it's not a graphical diagram? If the banner were precise to what Apple would be presenting then it would be an embarrassment b/c, well, it would be all stretched out and unusable. Obviously that's not going to happen, and it's not what I was suggesting. I think YOU are being too literal reading my post.

My point was that Apple's communications to the public are sometimes enigmatic, but it never distort its products in an unpleasant manner -- like a 4:3 picture stretched to fit a 16:9 space. A stretched out iPhone screen banner, is certainly nothing Jobs would have gone for. I don't think Cook either. Thus, my thought that the banner is a metaphor for something other than the iPhone.

Because ....(I'll make this easy for you)

1. I as an Apple user have the right to express my objection to products or trends I dislike or object to.

2, My opinion of the current options is a valid opinion and my only context for discussion IS my opinion based on the known facts.

3. This is a basically a Tech Blog and that is how this kind of thing usually work.

4. I have been active on this site since early 2009 and have always spoken from my heart. I always express my love AND Hate of developments in the world of Apple.

5. (This one is important) Read my freakin' Sig. :p

What is wrong with everyone? Is everyone on this thread really high?

I don't think this appoints to anything other than Apple just being creative with the Yerba Buena window designs. It's not like their putting a secret message in it or anything saying "The new iPhone will have a stretched screen!", it's just some apps to make it more iOS and Apple themed.

^ Apple has done this before BTW. And there wasn't any damn secret messaging.

No I'm not one of Tim Cook's employees trying warning you different of the release, but can you all please just wait it out. Jeez
I would take you more seriously if you had better grammar.

Having an opinion and stating that opinion does not make it NOT thread crapping.

You're entitled to your opinion, but unless it adds value relevant to the conversation, it's thread crapping. You not liking the new iPhone is not relevant to the discussion of the banner.

Even I am not completely satisfy with the new iPhone, this banner is innovation.

And we will see this in next Samsung banner:p

Wrong. It is relevant.

The discussion is speculation that the new iPhone is just getting taller.

I responded to that.

I said I don't like it.

I don't live in an "Apple Bubble"

I posted a picture of the phone that interests me because it is related to the discussion OF FREAKIN' PHONES ! ! !

This is not a hard thing to understand buddy.
