Unfortunately. Kinda lame that the main focus appears to be a taller iPhone. How is that innovating? Hopefully Apple will have a surprise for us instead of a taller iPhone. While I do use Android, I really want Apple to do something "wow" that'll silent the Fandroids that always bash Apple.
I truly like both Apple and Google and want to see what they bring to the table.
Why is it Apple's job to always come up with something WOW?
The Android platform is a copy of Apple's iOS including the entire iPhone concept.
People forget quickly how we used to have the dumb phones.
What is possible now is amazing.
Every product matures to a point where you can't get double leaps to the next feature.
If you go through all that the phones can do , you'll always land at the same improvements users want, but these are based on
personal preferences.
I for one do not want a big size screen if it means that it no longer fits into my pockets comfortably.
Better camera front or back, not really necessary. The current 4S is pretty good, again for what I do.
More memory: ALWAYS
Longer battery life: ALWAYS
Faster processor: ALWAYS
Sharpest display: ALWAYS
THINNNER LIGHTER: ALWAYS, but not at the expense of usability.
LTE: Yes, when it's widely available and a no go for some time if it kills my unlimited ATT plan.
NFC maybe, lived all my life without it, so why would that be important now?
Form factor? Don't need a new design, just for design change.
Classic BRAUN school design and simplicity is appreciated by this cowboy, but I'll have to see what the 5 will feel and look like, being a tad out of the regular golden proportion parameters.
I am sure Ive is aware of it and pushed the envelope carefully enough to make it still acceptable.
In summary when fans or no fans play the comparison game I always wonder why.
I am fine with my iphone, not a spec hound and features I don't use and which are not ripe for prime time according to Apple (maybe price, maybe iOS related) I can wait for.
Every two years when my contract is up I re-evaluate what's out there.
So, far up to the 4S the iPhone has always won out, but if Apple starts losing it, it will lose me.
It doesn't bother me in the least that they only do incremental updates.
If it's not worth it I'll wait until it is! I always have two years to decide.
I am sure many users feel that way about features.
Too bad we can't get a survey about how many of the features both camps tout are really being used by everybody on a daily basis.
Buy what you like and what is best for you.
Somebody who wants to tell me that his/her phone is better (whatever brand) doesn't get that it doesn't matter, as only I decide what is best for me
PS: If Apple would come up with a "WOW" thing I would appreciate, it would be providing an alternative to ATT and VERIZON .
I would like to be gauged by Apple better than by these two characters
