According to a study by mobile application mangement platform Crittercism,

It's worth pointing out that they are only tracking certain apps, at the request of the app developers. So they might be looking at only a handful of apps. So hey can't really say ALL Apps but rather the cut they are hired to watch. Who knows if Netflix or whatever crashing more reflects anything at all

Apple "it just works".....

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Does this explain why iWork apps give the blue screen of death...

Even apple doesn't know how to code their own apps for 64-bit.

I'm going to assume that they're just waiting until the next event this month to release all new, redesigned iWork, iLife, and whatever other applications they've made.

If they sleep on the opportunity to fix up iWork immensely while Microsoft is wasting time and charging higher prices, they may as well just drop iWork and call it a day.

I was looking through the charts for the top songs on the iTunes Store. Whenever I would preview a song then the song played for about 10 seconds and then the app crashed. It happened about 5 times in a row with 5 different songs as well so I gave up for the day. I haven't tried it to see if it works today.

I thought you were going to say Nickelback was the music being played that made it crash.

Yep, I've noticed this.

New processor = more optimization.

It'll get worked out, but it sucks right now.

"it sucks right now" may be a stretch...have not seen or heard of this from anyone else. certainly not sucking.

I love Apple, but iOS 7 is still buggy as all getout. My 5s has spontaneously rebooted several times. A little jarring coming from an Apple product. I'm confident they'll iron out the issues though.

...someone doens't understand Android updates via Play Store. So therefore, at least the native apps get updated frequently and doesn't have to wait for annual updates to get features.

It isn't like iOS doesn't get point releases. The app update issue is more an annoyance with the Apple TV where '3rd party' apps are baked into the OS rather than downloaded. So the developer could release an update for the mobile devices that isn't reflected for days or even weeks on the ATV version.

But yes even then if there was a way to make it so you could update even the 'native' apps piecemeal it might make clean up easier. They might have, for example, fixes for the Video app crashing when deleting a video or how the download buttons are missing from the whole 'in the cloud' thing that doesn't have to wait for the next batch of stuff.

Major Apple fan here -- but I will say that the 5s on iOS 7 is a bit shaky compared to what I have experianced with previous versions of iPhone's and iOS versions. Its not "horrible" by any means but I do notice issues. I know 64 Bit was a big leap and iOS 7 was a major upgrade so some problems are expected. But overall I am disapointed with my new 5s so far.

Knowing iPad 5 will be using the same SoC (or maybe the beefed up "X" variant, hopefully) I only wish it would not suffer the same fate. Maybe they will figure the way out by then.

Cross fingers and wait because I really want the iPad this year.

Hey, leave Android out of this discussion! That was a low blow.

Nothing about Android... #benefit_of_doubt
Could a Windows Phone 8 user or a Blackberry 10 user... (Ha ha ha!)

That said, the best phone is the one you prefer, be it Android, iPhone, BB or Windows Phone or StarTac! One does not need to be insecure about his preference!

This could be the smoothest 64 bit transition ever. Consider how much change in OS 7, I doubt any other company can do it better. My 5s runs as good as 5.

I own a 64GB Gold 5S my friend. It's called a joke. For the record, I love it, but it does crash a few times a day. That said, the iPad 3 is less stable, so I don't think it has anything to do with the 64 bit architecture.

Same here with my wife iOS 7...it dose crash on her iPhone 5

4 replacements

I'm waiting for my 1st replacement.

I should have specified "4th new iPhone OVER THE YEARS" (one 3G, one 3GS, one 4S, one 5S). Actually, I forgot I got my 5S replaced because the vibration didn't work. So 5 total phones, 4 generations.

5S is best. best. best.
I just hope it doesnt get a recall after all the gyro and bluescreen (BSOD) issues that have popped up.
