To those with old (pre 1.0b52) versions of QuickSilver, that stays in the Dock no matter what, and who don't get a connection to blacktree.com, here's the latest version of QuickSilver, that works with Leopard: http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/14831

I did a fresh install, and had my documents backed up. Now, due to QS's website being down, I can't install modules, and therefore cannot control iTunes etc.

If anyone would be kind enough to upload or provide a link for any of these, please PM me:

Extra Scripts
iTunes Module
Address Book Module
Safari Module

Thus far the only thing that does not work for me is Guitar Pro 5.2, which is the newest version. I shot them an email asking when I might see a patch. Kind of stinks, I can run it under Fusion in XP till it gets fixed.

I've found the following 3 programs crash during normal operation under leopard

- Last.fm Client
- Vienna (RSS Reader)
- Bits on Wheels (Bittorrent

The last.fm client is clunky you should take a look at iScrobbler its great. Works great with last.fm

Vienna's issue mainly is with a few glitches in the UI (scroll bar is misaligned, etc). Xpad also has a ui Issue with the documents pull out bar, if you click on several documents, the black file name text, goes white. Though it does not consistently do this.

I did upgrade on my macbook and find everything to be working except for iGlasses with Photo Booth, tho it works with iChat.
other prog i found to work that others haven't:

CS3 photoshop
Acrobat Prof ver 8.1.0
file maker pro ver 8.5 and 9.01
AppZapper
Quicken 2007

Hell C&C3 now "Works" on my macbook!!! YEAH, it didn't under Tiger.:D

I haven't read through this whole thread, so this may have been answered already.

My MacRumors widget doesn't work properly in Leopard. It still works, but when you click on a link that would usually open in Safari, it doesn't do anything.

Anyone know of a fix?

I don't know about the problem or a fix, but I do know that for me, creating a web clip did the job ;)

Things that don't work with Leopard

1) wClock (why doesn't Apple improve its clock still?)
2) NTFS-3g (can no longer write to NTFS)
3) VLC's Apple remote control support
4) And Leopard has crashed once since I upgraded from Tiger couple days ago (with a message saying I needed to press and hold the power button to restart the computer). Tiger has never crashed on me.

I'm starting to regret upgrading to Leopard...

Two long time Tiger bugs that seem to get fixed in Leopard, though:
1) Chinese font spacing in Firefox.
2) Screwed up color profile (a.k.a the bright screen of death?) when you switch user.

Photoshop CS3 has a small bug - when cropping with the crop tool, the text boxes for setting the crop size can become "corrupted" after one or two crops. You then have to restart Photoshop.

I'm having the same problem with Timbuktu 8.6 on a Mac Mini (Intel CD). I need to manually start the program each time I restart the Mini. Also, it asks for an admin password each time Timbuktu opens.

Anyone have a fix for Timbuktu 8.6 on Leopard?

I do not have a fix, but I wanted to chime in that I have the same exact issue with Timbuktu. Its not easy to deal with, since my mini runs headless in a closet. I have yet to get any word from Netopia support either. Almost makes me rethink VNC as an option.

One other thing that is not working for me is or more so a driver issue is with Line6 GuitarPort. There is a beta driver and it works but some of the functionality has been lost. The line6 tech group has posted they don't have a time line to get it fixed.

XVid doesn't seem to work in VLC or in Quicktime for me, it crashes both applications.

Also Azureus gives me kernel panics. Consistently.

FileMaker, Adobe CS, iCal Events Widget, Parallels

FileMaker 6 - 8.5 (Pro, Developer and Advanced) - All versions are running under Leopard with the exception that Instant Web Publishing does not work under any version. Other than that I have had no problems with them. I do not use any International Language versions of the products so there may be issues there but the English versions work fine.

iCal Events Widget 2.2.1 - Does not work under Leopard. Widget displays blank screen and seems to freeze you cannot get the "i" to show up to change any settings.

Adobe CS Photoshop , Illustrator, Go Live - All these Apps run without any apparent problems. There may be some problems but I have used the standard toolbar tools, filters and effects without any issues.

Parallels 3.0 Build 5160 - Parallels is running fine. No issues I have seen at all with it.

Chicken of the VNC, Vine Server

Chicken of the VNC 2.0b4 - Runs fine - No Problems I can see. Reverse connections work well.

Vine Server 2.1 - Runs fine under Leopard. I have experienced no problems.

Ben,

I just got a new iMac 2.4ghz w/ the 24" screen. It has an ATI2600 Pro in it. I can't use Nikon Capture NX with NEF files. It works ok on jpegs, but with NEF files, the program thinks there is a picture there, but it comes up empty.

Craig

Does anybody has experience with one of the following :

Nikon Capture NX
Nikon View NX
Nikon Camera Control pro

Do any of them work OK in Leopard. If not, I will have to adapt my workflow:rolleyes:.

Thanks
Ben

I have only installed Leopard on one of my machines as a test, but have to wonder if Screen sharing could be enabled between two Leopard machines (on same Network? or via Internet?) in a way that would allow us to replace a lot of the Timbuktu functionality. Anyone try this?
