EyeTV 2.5 - Runs fine except if you change Spaces while in full screen mode. All monitors will go black except for the TV will go into window mode and bounce around between screens. I forgot how I got out of it it (Command+# of the Space?, I think) Didn't have to restart or anything, just got back to the screen and have been running it in a window for now.

Turbo.264 - Zero problems. I've done 9 encodes since installing Leopard and didn't have any errors. I haven't actually watched any of the encodes though, I'm just assuming that there are no problems with them. I'll be checking them tonight when I go to edit their tags for iTunes.

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this.

I was using Toast 8 Titanium to burn a DL-DVD and it got to 50% then just hung there for ever.

No Go On Photoshop 7

Photoshop 7 won't run under Leopard.

This was the biggest (and most expensive) casualty for me. I never upgraded to CS, CS2, or CS3, because PS 7 worked fine for me - even on my Mac Book Pro.

I reluctantly upgraded to CS3 ($199 - ouch), and it works pretty much the same as PS 7, for the basic things I use PS for. I purchased my PS 7 upgrade back in 2001 (?) to run on OS X, so I guess it was time to upgrade...

However a few things to keep in mind:

Adobe started application activation with the CS versions. You can only load PS CS3 on two machines. I have always loaded it on all of the machines in my house (including the kids iMacs), and it would only allow one version to run at a time. Now I am forced to pick the two machines I want to use PS on. Sorry kids, no more Photoshop for you. That stinks.

If you have an Intel Mac, you can't scan from PS CS3 unless your scanner TWAIN drivers are universal, or unless you run in Rosetta mode.

The drivers for my Epson Stylus Photo RX500 all in one (purchased in mid 2004) are PowerPC, so no scanning for me, unless I run PS CS3 in Rosetta mode, which kind of defeats part of the purpose of the $199 upgrade.

Newer scanners seem to have Universal drivers though. Of course I coudln't get any of those to work with my All-in-one. The stand alone Epson Scan and OS X Image capture work fine - just no scanning from within PS CS3.

Not sure what to do about the two machine limit on PS CS3. I would really like for my kids to have it again - they were pretty good at photo manipulation. I guess I may have to check out the updated PS Elements 5 when it comes out next year.

Pac the Man X is now fixed for Leopard.

My Pac Man addiction can now continue...

Exclude from Time Machine but it Works

any word on Parallels?

I am running Parallels and no issues after the Leopard upgrade. The only problem I had was with Time Machine. Time Machine kept running and trying to back up the parallels partition. Thus I excluded it and it now works great.

LF Not working with 10.5

LocationFree Player for Mac, version 1.0.0. Broken.

I'll eventually try to reinstall it, but I'm not eager to find out it doesn't work. This sucks, as LocationFree drives my iMac, WinXP Laptop and my PSP. Highy unlikely Taxan will ever release an update! Damn.

software sales question

If my PS elements no longer works becuase I run leopard, does anyone know if its legal to sale my software since I can no longer use it? I just have the download and key...
Thanks

Leopard killed my speakers!

To put it more succinctly, I have studio monitors that plug into a Digidesign MBox 2. Under Sound preferences I used to be able to switch between "built in output" and "USB device" but now the MBox isn't recognized and it doesn't like up demonstrating it is getting power like it should be.

Clearly there is some compatibility issue with the update. Has anyone else encountered this? I just indefinitely screwed until Pro Tools releases Leopard compatibility? I don't even use Pro Tools, I just need the drivers for my Mbox to work.

Just installed Leopard today. Printing out of Photoshop to an Epson R1800 looks like ass. I can't figure out (after installing updated drivers from Epson's website) how to get it to print properly. Even with adjusted settings it kicks out a 8.5x11, 150DPI, full color image in 5 seconds but i could probably draw something that looks better. Good news is, my nozzles are aligned and ink is full.

In the future i would wait a bit longer before upgrading OS's. It has been my experience that the audio driver world tends to be a bit behind the curve. My G5 isn't getting the update for a while!!! (If you use Logic or anything like that, the updates can screw up 3rd-party plug in compatibility).

Is it an Intel thing? Photoshop CS 3 works just fine on my G5 with Leopard.

Illustrator was running a bit slow for me and so was Photoshop. I DID have them running with Spaces, but i don't know if that would have been the culprit.

Popcap's Bejeweled 2 will not run on Leopard. A message is displayed saying to contact Popcap for a new version (which I have) although I don't know if this is Bejeweled or Leopard creating that message.

You serious? That stinks. Hopefully I can somehow save my crazy high scores. Love that game. It's just weird how a game that simple won't work.

With all the problems everyone are having, does that mean CS2, or CS3 will run really slow on a MacPro with Leopard right now too, or is that something the updates are gonna fix soon? To make them run fast and smooth again? I'm a bit lost there.

Timbuktu 8.7 released for Leopard (kinda...)

Good New: Timbuktu's website says it has v8.7 avaiable for dowload for Leopard users.

Bad News: It costs $4.95 to download.

Worse News: After I paid the $4.95, it gave me a link to download v8.6, not 8.7. I sent an email to Customer support about an hour ago but have not received a response. Another poster on Versiontracker had the same problem.

2) NTFS-3g (can no longer write to NTFS)

Darn, this was one of my most useful programs. The guy who made it was asked by his employer to stop developing and posting it, so no updates unless someone else takes over for him.
