I've run into problems with a few games.

The following won't work (2GHz CD MacBook, 2GB RAM)

Tux Racer
Sauerbraten
Solitaire XL (opens ok but cant see any of the cards when it deals)
Pac the Man X (though I think I read this has been solved)

hi, I couldn't find anything on mainmenu and the developer doesn't reply either...so I thought I'll turn to my last resort...
does mainmenu work under leopard?

I just ran it. It took a long time the first time. it said disk permissions were different. duh! anyway it then went thru the remaining scripts and all works well afterwards. the second running was lightning fast.

no worries. mainmenu works!

i guess now I can upgrade to leopard very soon...

so how's the latest version of quicksilver on Leopard?
talking about the one available on their website beta 53 i think...

anyone tried?

Vectorworks pre-12.5.2 versions not compatible

Architects beware...
While Vectorworks 2008 will be updated with a service pack to complete Leopard compatibility, there is no decision about Vectorworks 12.5.2. They may patch, they may not. Any older versions e.g. 11.5 will NOT be made compatible.

http://kbase.nemetschek.net/index.php?ToDo=view&questId=154&catId=23

bottom line:
Vectorworks 2008 is (or will be) Leopard-friendly
Vectorworks 12.5.2 is not currently but may soon be Leopard-friendly
Vectorworks 11.5 or earlier is not nor will it be Leopard-friendly

I just heard back from Plantronics that Volume Logic does not work under Leopard. Worse still is that they have discontinued this software. You can use it if you stay with Tiger, but you are SOL under Leopard. That's really too bad--this was a wonderful addition to iTunes.

Hi,

I got a response from the developer of mainmenu and it is fully functional with leopard.
Just thought I'll let you guys know.

Quicksilver seems to work fine for me. :)

The Developer plugin doesn't, though.

Solitaire XL and Sauerbraten are working fine on my 2.4 C2D MBP.

Looks like I'll have to finally retire Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0 - got an error message while booting up. Any ideas when a Leopard-compatible version will be available?

Applejack broken in Leopard

Applejack busted. Developer seems discouraged, and warns that update may not be forthcoming.:(

See here for more.

"early 2008" apparently.

http://www.tuaw.com/2007/09/25/adobe-photoshop-elements-delayed-until-2008/

This is my biggest miss in Leopard, and one of the reasons I can't install it on my main machine yet. I find Adobe's slowness to update PS Elements to a Universal/Leopard compatible version pretty pathetic really, especially when they've announced they're going to launch the beta of their online version of Photoshop "by the end of the year".

Microtek's ScanWizard software. Doesn't even load, but crashes on launch. Does anyone know of any workarounds for the s400 scanner? I don't want to trash it--it's only a year old!

Frictionless (todo manager) no longer works

Another casualty is Frictionless (to-do manager) which no longer works. The developer's website seems silent on the incompatibility, but it crashes any time I try to add a new todo.

Popcorn 2 works on leopard, Popcorn 3 doesn't but 3.0.2 beta does.

have you been able to burn a DVD? it starts up fine but when I try to burn something I get "OS error 13780" or something like that..

Are there any other alternatives? I need to burn one of my homemade DVDs ASAP...

Belkin's F5D6050 wireless utility no longer works with leopard. Anyone know of a usb wireless dongle that does work with leopard? I'm guessing belkin won't be releasing a new wireless utility given the age the item.

Piclens and new Mac OSX / Safari -- the solution

Hello Fellow Mac Users:

On behalf of the PicLens team, I'm writing to provide the solution to issues arising from PicLens and the recent Mac OS X 10.4.11 Combo Update with Safari 3.0.4.

Some users of PicLens v.1.5.14 or older are reporting a conflict with the new Mac upgrade, whereby either Safari or PicLens stops working.

The good news is that the solution is fast and simple.

1. Go to View > Remove PicLens
2. Restart Safari
3. Reinstall the newest version of PicLens from our website at http://www.piclens.com.

Even if you are already using version 1.5.15 prior to the Mac update, you may still need to uninstall and reinstall to get everything to go smoothly.

For further support, please kindly visit http://www.piclens.com/support/

We apologize for the inconvenience and hope you can now return to enjoying PicLens on your new Safari browser!

Kind regards,
Alec & The PicLens Team
