Hmm, if this year wasn't my big upgrade year then I probably would consider one for it's rumoured retina display. I use my iPad a lot for reading, and the potential clarity offered would be beneficial.

Maybe iPad 4...:D

I might upgrade if and only if the next iPad gets 1) quad core, 2) retina display (hence the want for QC) and 3) LTE. If less than that, I'll wait.

I have no intentions of buying one anytime soon. There's barely anything in the app store now that shows off the iPad 2's power.

Meh, I'll let nature run its course.

Literally just got mine on XMas, & I love it to death. If I buy anything it's gonna be a case/cover/folio that I like and will protect my iPad perfect :)

There is not even a chance I will not get the iPad 3!

I will be one of the first orders put in when the open the Apple Store for pre-orders!:D

I have a very good friend who will pass down the iPad 1 I gave her to make room for my iPad 2 she is soon to get!

I still have my Ipad 1. Does everything I need it to do. I am waiting for the 4. camera and speed are meh not things I need since I have the 4s.

It depends entirely on the specifications of the new iPad.

Until there is a full file structure which enables me to access my files and move them to my web sites or elsewhere, then I consider the iPad a plaything and not a real tool. IOS has a long way to go before it becomes truly useful. It's great for my iPhone but hopeless if I want to do anything productive.

I'll be sticking to my Air until all this is resolved.

I have the original iPad, and I'm still not considering an iPad 3.

Unless, of course, it does laundry for me.

I agree. I'm in the same boat and I am sure the original iPad will be supported in iOS 6 so I can afford to wait at least one more year. Plus I need to buy a car this year.

I bought my iPad 2 on launch day, but I barely seem to use it anymore. Just because we have touch-screen technology doesn't mean we should use it for everyday, general-use computing. So, I will not be buying the iPad 3.

Very difficult decision for me. I have an iPad 2 and do enjoy it. However with that said, the upgrade to the screen will be well worth it for me as I do a substantial amount of reading on it. I know I have to sell my current iPad soon, just wondering if I'll regret the time lag of not having one for a month lol.

I would love to get the iPad 3 but the thing is I just got my first iPad 2 in mid December and receiving my second one today so.....money for it will be a bit non existent. To be honest, I think it's coming out too soon lol. Which I know is a matter of opinion as things traditionally come out the year after the last.

I love the iPad 2. That being said, I am lusting after a high res display. I'd buy the iPad 3 just for the higher res display alone. I take the 2 with me everywhere. When it comes to personal stuff, it's what I use most of the time.

The iPad 2 does all the things I'm hoping for at the moment. The only thing I know already is that I will long for the retina. So only time can tell if I will buy it or not. :D

Not even considering it. My iPad 2 does everything I want it to do. I can't think of anything they could add to the next version which would cause me to upgrade so soon. For me, I am thinking a 3 year upgrade cycle will be fine.

My iPad 2 meets my occasional usage pattern just fine.

It's simply an additional device that doesn't fulfill any primary role for me, nor do I want it too. I leave it lying around the house for those times when I simply want to pick it up, browse the web for a short while, look something up or the like.

For any other usage I am far happier with my Fast & Fun MBP with it's stellar keyboard, SSD, beautiful 15" hi-res anti-glare display, and full power to accomplish all I want.

For mobile use my iPhone fits the bill quite nicely, so I have no reason to buy an iPad 3 to replace my iPad 2, just to have the "latest". I just don't use a tablet that much.

I'm far more eager to get my hands on the next iPhone.

I never ended up using my iPad 2 much, although my wife likes it. She's a very light user so until some earth shattering new features come along that will really enhance the way we run our business we'll definitely skip it.

I've got my iPad 2 on craigslist now to try and get top dollar for it before the 3 is announced. Seeing as how most rumors suggest a hi-res display, I'm in. Once I have that I will hold off a couple of generations.

I go back and forth about this. Ultimately I love to have to latest and greatest, but since the jailbreak is imminent, I think I'll hold on to my iPad 2. If I like the jailbreak as much as other folks seem to then I won't want to give up customized and optomized iPad.
