I sold my iPad 2 a few weeks back to get the 3, but then I played with imported PS Vita and I REALLY want this thing, it's awesome. I'm thinking about picking up a cheap iPad 2 and plucking down $250 to get the Vita when it launches instead.

I don't see a reason. I upgraded from the iPad 1 because of performance reasons, but those performance issues aren't present in the iPad 2 (it was mostly lack of memory, tbh). If iOS 6 comes out, and I upgrade to it, and it messes the iPad 2 up, then I might have a reason... but as of right now, I have no logical reason to update yet.

Key word... logical. Lust is an evil mistress.

Because I have the money to spend on it and don't really care if it is at all different.

I have the money too, so what? I'm just asking why, other than the fact you just to be wasteful. Or is that the only reason?

Oh wait, just saw your signature. Nevermind, you answered my question hah.

I might upgrade if and only if the next iPad gets 1) quad core, 2) retina display (hence the want for QC) and 3) LTE. If less than that, I'll wait.

I am with you, If it comes with Quad Core, Retina Display, and LTE then it is worth the upgrade. If LTE is left on on the iPad 3 then I will wait for the iPad 4. And then I will keep my iPad 2 for now.

There's gonna be an iPad 3!?

Yep, it is Rumored to be coming out in March or Early April and it is even rumored that iPad 4 might come out in the same year. However I don't believe that as it would not make sense for Apple to do that, as many for just bypass the iPad 3 and wait for the iPad 4. I don't see Apple releasing the iPad 4 this same year. Highly unlikely. But I do see them releasing the iPad 3 but question is will it be a quad core and LTE with it? It will have a better camera just like the iPhone 4s and Retina display is probably a safe quote but quad core and LTE? That is the question.
