Shower in the mornings before breakfast.
I don't take my time... I try to be inside four minutes.
I like the water hot, but I rinse in cold.

Bath person and in the morning, since I'd like to get rid of the body gunk that broke off/built up overnight. Maybe it's a genetic thing. I'd like to have a Japanese style bathroom because a Japanese bath is so relaxing and burns off anything unimportant. :D

I'm totally a shower person. I have to have a shower every morning, so I can wake up and feel human. I usually daydream and talk to myself and sing and shout and jump around and dance while I'm in there. Although I try to cut back a bit when sharing the shower :D I love hot showers. The hotter the better. Like skin burning hot, where you're red and dizzy when you come out. Cold showers don't sound refreshing to me, they sound like some sort of primitive torture.

If I've really slacked all day long (on the weekend) and have just walked around my home naked, and haven't showered, and it's time to go to bed, then I have to shower before sleeping, or else I feel all dirty. Even then I still shower in the morning, just 8 hours later.

Maybe it's just because I'm an Aquarius, but I think that women are most beautiful when wet. Well, naked and wet - with long hair, and the water running down their bodies. Oh, and with soap suds! Showering with someone else makes it like 10X better than alone. And shower sex is really nice, just stay out of the water stream though, because water is not a good lubricant, and it rinses away the good stuff that women make. Call me Mr Water Safety, but I prefer coming up behind the woman, with our feet firmly planted on the ground. I had a friend who totally wiped out and they both smashed their bodies on parts of the tub :p

Oh yeah, baths... I agree with those who say it's kindof dirty. I'm too tall to be comfortable in a bath, with my knees sticking up out of the water getting cold. I like hot tubs though, where you can be fully submerged. Does anyone else feel guilty when fillng a tub, seeing how much water is being used?

Ok, here's a relationship litmus test: Can you comfortably wash your backside crack when in the shower together?

If anyone gets a chance, take a brief swim in the Pacific Ocean. When you get out of the cold water, you'll feel super refreshed! It's an amazing feeling.

Just trying to narrow down a location there Lacero? The Pacific is really really big and includes some nice warm spots. :)

hmm...iirc most of the pics he posts are hosted on telus (a canadian isp, again iirc) and he's mentioned western canada before...i imagine that part of the pacific's rather cold
then again, talk like that should be reserved for a future "who's the real lacero" thread :p:D

I am a little weirded out by this.

Shower twice a day - morning before work and again after the gym.

Haven't done the bath thing in years, although for some reason I was deathly afraid of taking a shower when I was young, and refused to do so until I was maybe 8 or 9 (took baths instead).

Why not optimize your bathing?

Takes the whole fun out of showering, but you save water!
Hmm... thats how I've been doing it for years. I get myself wet (of the aqua kind) all over and I rub soap on a shower cloth and rub myself all over. In this crevice and that crevice, until my whole naked body is covered in suds. Then I rinse and repeat. You do feel cleaner doing it this way as well.

Hmmm.... funny how he says using a washcloth saves a lot of time. I always use one of those body pouf things. Anyone else use those? You squirt a little body wash on there (or rub a bar of soap on it if you're old school) and you get a whole bunch of suds that last the whole shower. I guess it does probably save me some time...

By the way, anyone ever use one of those timed showers that takes a token? I had to use one once at a campground in the desert in Utah, where water is obviously scarce so you only had so long to shower unless you put more tokens in. Man, it was a scramble to get a full shower in that fast, always expecting the water to shut off at any moment!!

When I saw optimize your bathing, I thought it was going to be completely different. I expected the benefits of sharing a bath:)

OKAY, I had no intention of it meaning THAT! Very funny though. Boy am I naive.

i'm a shower person. i shower at night, i could never wake up early enough to shower and dry off and then use ahava i have such dry skin if i don't use lotion my skin gets dry and itchy

Shower, mornings, daily.
We have one of those two person jacuzzies, that the wife and I use about once every two weeks. She uses it every couple days as she loves to read while bathing, but I find them rather disturbing solo.

However when years ago when we would tour the wife and I would go weeks at a time without a shower, just bird baths from bottled water. For some reason coliseum/amphitheatre parking lots usualy don't have showers.

Are You a Shower or a Bath Person?

I definitely prefer a shower because I not only feel cleaner, but more refreshed too.

The advantages of sharing a shower with a loved one is not only for the conservation minded (who want to save water), but has the added advantage, at least for me anyway, that you come out a lot cleaner too :D

And no, I'm not going to elaborate!

Showers for me, the occasional bath to relax sore, tired, muscles or stress.

Judging by your name and sig Random it looks as if you swung a few lots in your day. I have to admit I followed the venerable GD and JGB around quite a bit myself. Also a sprinkling of Neil Young, Phish, numerous Reggae acts, etc. Being born in the Haight in 1968 I felt a certain responsibility to my parents lineage to find out what it was all about. As someone used to say, "A box of rain will ease the pain, and love will see you through."
