No but i don't like when people are looking me and i cant do any private work
Except I got my iPhone stolen out of my hands while I was using it on the subway, like I had been doing for months before then. So now I am a bit paranoid.Use it every day in a NYC subway going to and from work, mostly for videos. Stop being paranoid.

Interesting. This is somewhat surprising me. I thought almost everybody own an iPad or a tablet or at least not consider iPad as a luxury item. Does iPad considered luxury item in States?![]()

-Saying that, wish it wouldn't had happened and know it's nothing to brag about but 3 years ago I shot a guy's arm when trying to steal my backpack with high value contents in it. The guy tried by pulling it from me while waving a Bowie Knife at my face. The rest is history.
It was considered legal self defense. It is my 2nd amendment right but never carry my gun outside my state and have a concealed weapon permit.
I grew up in NYC, in the old days of high crime, and have been robbed many times, including the subway. I would just use an iPhone instead - also with mobile me you can track an iphone if stolen. An iPad is an easy grab and can make a criminal out of relatively honest people. Be discrete when and if you must use it
.
"Relativley honest."
Someone who chooses to mug other people is deserving of more harsh words than being "relatively honest."
This I agree with.
Many times we're tempted with crimes of opportunity where there is no personal victim -- we pirate software, we pick something up off the street and keep it, we steal pens from work, we take advantage of store pricing errors. Some of us do it. Some of us don't.
But people who target other people to deliberately steal from them, whether it was an impulse or premeditated, yes, that's just criminal.
The biggest con about the iPad is that everyone can see what you're doing/reading when in public. Not that I care, but it's similar to the annoying feeling you get when someone's reading your newspaper over your shoulder.
Wow. At what time, where and which line?
So what have you do now to change your own personal security habits when you are out on the streets walking around and now do you keep all electronic devices put away when you are out on the street ..
I was using my iPhone while riding the subway (Toronto). The train stopped at a station, and when I heard the doors chime, somebody just snapped the iPhone from my hands and jumped out right before the doors closed.
Well, for once, whenever I approach a subway station, I put the iPhone away, or at least I hold on to it much tighter. It wasn't a fun experience, it actually it could have gone worse.
I've used my iPhone, iPad and 17" MacBook Pro on the NYC subway too and from Brooklyn. I'm a national competitive bodybuilder. No one is f@*#kin' with me.![]()

Just asking.
It attracts a lot of attention and for some reason I am little uncomfortable using it on NYC subways.
I thought I was the only one. I use mine on the NYC bus and subways. Whenever someone ask if this is an iPad I always tell them NO and they look puzzled, then I ignore them until my stop and then I get off. Before I use mine I look around to see who is in my cart with me. I love my baby![]()
