I am really good at not dropping my phones, so the biggest concern I usually have is preventing scratches. The protruding lens should actually help in this regard as it will lift the backside up off the table or whatever I put it down on. Also make sure your pockets are clean. That helps prevent those mysterious screen scratches that magically show up.

Getting a skin to protect the front, back and sides while waiting for Incipio to release the Marco for the iPhone 6.

Had the Marco on my 5 and 5s and it's brilliant 'cos you get to use the phone without having a case on it but also get the protection when you're not using the phone as it's a hard sleeve case.

I'm getting this pouch: http://jolioriginals.com/collections/smooth/products/smooth-iphone

Picked the textured brown one with a pink interior lining.

Debating whether to get this or to wait for Incipio to release the iPhone 6 version of the Marco case.

Yes/No.

I don't really like cases. I think it takes away from the beauty of the phone and always feel "awkward" when I hold it. The most I do is install those screen protectors for the front and the back. Unfortunately, I haven't seen any on Amazon that has front and back which I have with my 5S. I'm waiting for Spigen to make it available, so at the moment I got their smallest and unobtrusive clear case to protect from potential scratches on the back.

I just got this one from spigen. It's the Capsule series. Clear case to show off the shiny new iPhone 6+. I may look for something thinner later like the Airskin series

Whatever you buy, don't buy a plastic film protector. Buy a tempered glass one. I ordered one from tech armor.
How's case fitment with those? I have a Diztronic TPU case on the way. I can usually get a front & back protector on my phone without a problem in those cases.

The problem I have with third party cases is that they all seem to want to put their logo in the ugliest places possible.

For me, it's the Apple leather case. My previous apple case has protected my 5 and 5S from many many drops over its 2 year lifespan, and I think it just looks more elegant than a piece of plastic.

The official Apple leather case is nice, but to me it has one flaw that it doesn't cover the bottom. It might help with 3rd party cable/ assessory but I need the phone fully covered. Also it's darn expensive at $50...

See to me that is actually a plus - it means I can, for the first time in 4 years, put my phone into my speaker dock without having to remove the case.

I will not be using a case. I stopped using cases back when I had my iPhone 4. I started with a case then stopped less than a year into it. Same went for screen protectors.

Never used a case up until my last\current phone. (iPhone 5). Love the naked look, but after dropping this thing twice, once requiring replacement due to shattered glass, I moved to the Otterbox Commuter series.

Already ordered a black and gunmetal gray one for the new phone. I'm just WAY too prone to dropping anymore, LOL.

I'm on a boat fishing a lot. I have the lifeproof case for my 4s. Though honestly it does not hold up very well. After a while the edges end up coming off. I need to have a phone case that protects from water and I want it low profile. I do not want it to add any bulk. So I am up in the air.

Not using a case.

If the finish is as good as my Nexus 5 it won't need a case.

If not it'll just show evidence that the finish isn't up to par.

I never have AppleCare or insurance on my iPhones so they are always in a case since the original in 2007. They always look the way I bought them when I resell them lol.

I'm not getting a case. All I'm getting is the Glass shield by Zagg! and of course getting Applecare+ just in case.

I'd rather pay $20 for a case than $180 for an Apple Care replacement.

I'm not sure what you mean?

I was saying that I will use some sort of a case but I know that does not guarantee the phone not breaking if dropped so Apple care will give me piece of mind. It will also repair the phone and lightning cable for two years. I have replaced two of my lightning cables under our Apple Care plan and my daughters volume button down stopped working.

I may even try gong without a case because I will be protected by Apple Care + if the unfortunate happens.

Its insurance and everyone will have to decide if they want the protection.

The Apple leather cases don't work with skins, correct? I believe I remember them being extremely right. Ordered a Best Skins Ever (matte for both body and screen) for now and will decide on a case soon. I always do the skin because I've never had a case that didn't scratch the phone eventually in some way. But of course the skins make using many cases impossible.
