Hello, I'm back and after a long flight with Pro 3 I feel better about the ANC, possibly I needed to learn how to adjust them in my ear. Not sure if they're necessarily better than Pro 2 though, and I have no way to test and compare anymore (and it would still be pretty subjective as I don't have reliable equipment, just vibes)

My APP2 is still going strong. Can't get the APP3 because they really hurt my ears and don't feel comfortable at all. Not sure what to get when it's time to upgrade.

I have the APP2 and the APP3 and honestly can live with either. If I knew then what I know now I would have skipped the 3.

I have never had AirPods so getting the AirPod Pro 3 is my very first set of AirPods. I’ve been very pleased using these since getting them 👍🏽

I have one OG APP1 pair and two APP3's. The 3rd gen is very good, but if I could choose, I would go with Gen 1 again. The pairing is fast, however I use them much less due to the crackling issue so I don't know how seamlessly they'd pair to several different Apple devices now. The pairing of the APP3 is flawless, but the comfort is better on the APP1 and, by extension, ANC, because ANC depends heavily on seal which depends heavily on fit, and that is better with the APP1.

Overall I don't regret buying two pairs of APP3's, nothing wrong with them, but if given then choice I'd buy APP1 with a fresh battery. They just rest more easily in my ear and the ANC isn't any worse in any way, shape or form. I feel like the ANC performance of the APP3 is overstated.

I started to seriously consider buying a second set of APP3’s . . .

My APP1 kept falling out of my ears. The APP2 are better in this regard but still not quite ideal. Regular airpods for me are hopeless. Given that pattern, how do people think APP3 will fit? The cartilage on my ears just doesn't close tightly enough for regular airpods.

I was quite happy with APP2, but inadvertently popped one out of my ear changing in an aircraft lav (forgot I had them in) and it flew 4 feet (a380) over right into the 5hi++er 😂 so I got the APP3 and to my surprise they fit even better. I haven't had any of the crackling or other issues mentioned, thankfully.

Well, that's a bad situation that turned out great! Congrats!

Regarding the "crackling", I forgot about that. I had this problem when I first got my APP3 and I was trying out different configuration settings. I haven't heard it in a while and that's probably because I turned off some of the automation.

Having never really used Air pods with my iphone, which ones should i get. I just upgraded my iphone from 8+ to 16E. Im seeing advertisements at Costco co for airpods pro 3 and 4 with 2 year of warrentee included? I would would want a great pair that sound great, stay on ear without a fuss, good noise canceling, great sound for listening to music if i choose, as long term battery life as possible, and not overly expensive for the product for what they are? What would your airpods of choice be and what kinda deal would you want to pay? And what about competitors to apple products in the ear bud department??

yeah worked out well, and somehow i didn't know/just found out that you can buy a one-off airpod pro, so I swung over to the omotesando store and picked up a left one and gave the once-again-functional app2s to P2 and she's thrilled to ditch her offbrand wireless buds.

If it wasn't for the charging issues, I probably wouldn't upgrade. I actually dropped the case a while back after taking the protective cover off, and it hasn't charged quite right since. Other than that, the sound quality and ANC are still great.

The APP3 has always sounded a little off to me. When I first got them the tip selection test was pretty insistent that I use a medium tip, so I did. But today I tried the large tip because I always found the things a little uncomfortable.
Whoa! Not only did the comfort improve, but the sound and the sound stage improved100%. They're like a completely new set of IEMs. They now sound great!

Interesting that they work better for you going up. I had to downsize mine to get the same effect. Doesn't sound amazingly better or anything, but at least they fit well-ish.

If my AirPods Pro 2 gets damaged or stops working I buy the Pro 3, otherwise I will stay with my second gen Pro as long as possible.

My AirPods Pro 2 is probably the best buy I ever buy.
I’ve been using them for 3 1/2 years now and they have never failed me. Not once.

The battery is still amazing.
The first 2 years I used them 50-60 hour a week, and the last 1 1/2 year around 30-40 hour a week and the battery in both the case and the pods are almost identical as if they were new.
That’s just incredible!
