Interested for my son who loves watching movies in the back seat (but I don't want to pay the data plan for an ipad). If I can get one for $400 or less (doubtful but that's my number) I will bite. Otherwise I will just upgrade one of our three phones to the next iPhone and he can have that previous device.

very doubtful. What was the 5C, $550? It will be no less than that IMO.

Yeah, not holding my breath either. That's just the number I would have to see for it to be worth it to me. Otherwise the "equity" I have in our current devices would mean it would make more sense to just upgrade (since I do that to at least one phone every year anyway).

Im interested in smaller (4-4.3") iPhone, but its all come down to price vs. specs.
Ultimately that will be the deciding factor for me as well. I expect that we'll not see every feature in this phone as we see in the 6s, but I don't want to see a price that's only 50 bucks off the cost of the 6s

No.

Honestly I believe a perfect sweet spot for me would be a 5 inch screen. Slightly smaller than the 6s+, but larger than the 6. So I opt for the functionality of the 6+ over the portability of smaller.

I think the 5se will be great. I'm sure you'll love it, and it will work great in tandem with the iPad!

That's actually the main reason why I now want an iPhone. The fact that none of my apps talk to each other between my phone and tablet is really irritating, resulting in duplicated notifications on both devices. It's really frustrating.

As far as I'm concerned the 16GB iOS devices don't exist and I don't fancy paying £619 for a 64GB iPhone 6S that is physically larger than my current Sony Z5 Compact.

So iPhone 5SE is the logical choice for me.

Go with the (rumored) 5SE if it suits you the best :)

I on the other hand am loving the size and power of the 6S+

No gaming.
No YouTube
No Movies
Hope it does not have force touch

Yes to the 5SE if it's true. ;) Had the 5S and could through into the front pocket without the larger bulge of the others.

I will if it is a "6s" in a 4" size. So, if it is significantly better than my 5s, yes, otherwise, why bother? Honestly, the only thing i feel I'm lacking is ApplePay, and not many places take it yet, so I'm not missing much.

And by significantly better I really do mean specs that are at least equal to the 6s.

In hindsight I wish I just kept the 5S instead of upgrading to the 6 and then 6S. Now that I have an applewatch, I wouldn't even miss applepay. Without question I will be getting the 5SE, and I will only be upgrading to 4" iphones.

Had this been sometime early last year, I would have strongly considered the 5se. However, I have really gotten used to the 4.7" screen of the 6 and 6s that I currently own since I don't watch videos or play games on my iPhone. Plus, for any video related tasks, I save for my iPad Mini.

My constant heavy usage benefits from the spacious highly useful 6" display on my Nexus. It would sure be nice if Apple offered that size. Yet I do realize Apple is quite enamored with small screens they've convinced a huge share of their installed base are superior. To them easy to carry trumps efficient to use.

I WAS, but I just got an iPhone 6 and was shocked at how small it was. Lol. I got so used to my 6S Plus and Nexus 6P, that the 4.7 iPhone small felt really small. I can only imagine what the 4' iPhone would feel like...tiny!

If I was given the option of a 4", 4.7" and 5.5" phone with otherwise identical specifications (except battery, where a larger device will obviously always have an advantage), i'd take the 4".

But if the 4" device is generally short on features or has a generation or so old processor to make it the budget option, then no. I want a modern compact phone, not an "iphone lite" to save a few bucks.

Either way, I have an iPhone 6, and while I miss the ease of one-handed use, I'm also trying to be more mindful of disposable culture. I will make this last as long as I can before typing becomes impossibly slow on the latest iOS, because its impossible for programmers to add features without adding a delay timer to keyboard input.

No interest. Even if I got it free I would just turn around and sell it and wait for the iPhone 7.

I'm super interested due to wanting a small phone, I don't want something that takes up all my attention, I just want something for the utility of it. I already have my Macbook for videos, etc. It'll probably be my first iPhone, and first new cellphone in ~7 years. What color? Well, i don't know which ones are available just yet, but maybe a dark blue? If they offer rose gold, that's tempting as well.

After went through several 5.5 inch Android phones, I will never go back to 4 inch phone. Several of my Android phones has one hand mode which can be easily invoked. When I need one hand use, I will use one hand mode.

Big screen for reading webpages and watching videos, not want go back to screen screen

I'm curious: What would you do if it ends up having an underclocked A9 chip (like the iPod Touch 6th gen's underclocked A8)? Would you still count that as at least equal to the 6s?

As a long time Android fan I think I'll be switching to a 64GB iPhone 5SE. I love the customisability, flexibility and simplicity of Android. Why would I switch? Three reasons;

1) I have an iPad Air 2 that I bought last October and I am getting really annoyed by the fact that there is zero syncing between my devices. Any notification will appear as unread on the iPad even if I've already checked it out on the Android phone and vice versa.

2) I can't use any Android phone, not even my current Sony Z5 Compact, one-handed. I love the feel of my brother's iPhone 5S in my hand. It's a really good fit. I have small hands.

3) My brother has pretty much decided he's sticking to iPhone and going with the iPhone 6S once his contract expires in April. It'd be cool to iMessage and FaceTime him on my phone as well as the tablet.

What are your reasons for wanting to go with the 5SE? Which storage capacity and colour option would you go for? :)

Yes: I'm using a 5s now and will definitely move to the 5se 64gb, or larger if that's available.

Could you not just get your son an iPod touch and carry on using your existing phones?

Seeing as the screen resolution is lower then that would cancel it any difference and so both would perform the same on-screen.
