In the UK they have the Space Gray base model for less than £1,199 (£50 cheaper than the RRP) and pay over 5 months. That's what made me buy one.what was the amazon deal?

The keyboards are identical (I own both). The M2 Air is a great machine. I do have a 16" M1 Max as well though. That is more my stay at home machine - the air travels with me everywhere and so far has been great. It replaces my M1 MBP that used to travel with me everywhere. I have to say that the build feel on the M1 MBP feels more solid, maybe that is just because it is a heavier thicker machine. The keyboard on the MBP feels better to me too. I love the new bigger screen of the M2 air and I love how thin it is and I do love that it is fanless.
They may be the same, the MBP feels better to me.The keyboards are identical (I own both).
Was this because of an _actual_ increased risk of damaging it, or a _perceived_ risk of damaging it just because it's thinner?had to be extra careful with it
likely perceived.. haha now have it on a trip up into Canada.. just trow it in the bags.. no issues, thus far.Was this because of an _actual_ increased risk of damaging it, or a _perceived_ risk of damaging it just because it's thinner?
yes, have the space gray too which I typically don't love but looks so good on this!Returned midnight 8/256 for SG 8/512/67w. BTW 67w does include MagSafe too. First time SG on any apple device. M2 flies. YouTube reviews don’t do this laptop justice. Been using it for a few days now. No slow downs what so ever.![]()

Any hard proof of that? Anyway, I have tried them side by side (MBA M2 and MBP 14") and in MBP is feels nicer and less loud, in MBA there is kind of resonance from the chassis making it much louder (try it with MBA on hard surface like a table and then hit the key H or J using a bit more force and interesting resonance sound is heard. I actually thought first demo machine was broken but later on I tried another unit in different shop with the same result. MBP feels much softer and less resonating). They are the same.

If all you did was unwrap the Mac and didn't connect anything etc., I would return it as it looks like the ports either didn't get the proper painting or were dinged during handling at the plant.I just collected my MacBook Air 512 GB SSD in midnight and being honest I never felt so disappointed. If my laptop looks like that just after taking off from the box I’m scared how it will be after months or years of use. Did anyone had similar situation? Or maybe it’s just me being picky?
I love that sleeve. Did you get it at the Apple store?Returned midnight 8/256 for SG 8/512/67w. BTW 67w does include MagSafe too. First time SG on any apple device. M2 flies. YouTube reviews don’t do this laptop justice. Been using it for a few days now. No slow downs what so ever.![]()

So you used migration assistant instead of setting up nice and fresh I'm assuming? What on earth were you doing during setup that made it even warm? Just after first boot, I downloaded from iCloud my photo library with 21,000 full-size pictures and my 3,000-song music library while also running Time Machine backups and it didn't get above room temperature.
No, completely the opposite. I did a clean install and downloaded everything from the cloud. I was coming from a mid-2009 MBP that, recently, was used maybe 2x a year, and I felt that using Migration Assistant might bring over too much stuff that I didn't want or need.So you used migration assistant instead of setting up nice and fresh I'm assuming?
Apple Store doesn't carry that brand. I would be careful using a case like that as it doesn't really appear to have built-in protection from the zipper area.I love that sleeve. Did you get it at the Apple store?
I thought about the 67 watt charger but for my use it would be silly. The battery just lasts so long and I’m never away from power for that long. Also I’m trying to get the most life I can out of the battery. I can see how someone with a hectic schedule that’s doing business on the go would benefit from it though

Ah very nice. That's what I do as well when I make a change. My MB Air hasn't gotten hot yet, guess I'll have to run some FCP tests to see what happens. No, completely the opposite. Thanks for correcting me. I appreciate the follow up. Your pics look much better than the website in this regard.Actually it does. See the lip covering? I like how well and good my air fits inside. Fits inside with not much movement. I don’t like those sleeves/carrying cases that you feel the laptop moving. Also the inside padding it’s really good and not too thin. The zipper isn’t metal it’s plastic. Even though it’s plastic it’s good quality. The zip enclosure plastic too. I figured they do this to avoid any scratches on a laptop which is smart. I returned another sleeve I had bought on Amazon which was $17. That thing was trash. I didn’t mind paying $40 for this one.

You're welcome. No worries. Sometimes I wonder why they wouldn't post this very important detail. I believe with more detailed pics they would sale more. I did emailed them and they did write back confirming it did. Thanks for correcting me. I appreciate the follow up. Your pics look much better than the website in this regard.
