Actually it does. See the lip covering? I like how well and good my air fits inside. Fits inside with not much movement. I don’t like those sleeves/carrying cases that you feel the laptop moving. Also the inside padding it’s really good and not too thin. The zipper isn’t metal it’s plastic. Even though it’s plastic it’s good quality. The zip enclosure plastic too. I figured they do this to avoid any scratches on a laptop which is smart. I returned another sleeve I had bought on Amazon which was $17. That thing was trash. I didn’t mind paying $40 for this one.

Love how this sleeve looks. The tweed crosshatch on the outside and the candy stripe on the inside.

Yup. I have same brand same color traveling duffel bag. This brand makes good quality stuff. I was glad when I went on their website they had an option for my air.

they are slightly above average I'd say.. still makes the portability worth it

I agree. I mean the same people complaining about it either connect via Bluetooth speakers or use headphones right. I care for the sound from my surround sound in my living room and the sound system in my car that I get every 3 years when I lease. When was the last time a brand new Samsung flat screen tv came with amazing sound? That’s why we get a sound bar etc. Regardless when I use my mac/iPad/iPhone and I’m watching video etc I use my AirPods. Also my wife doesn’t like it for me to blast loud stuff so I just blast what I’m watching on my AirPods while linked via Bluetooth from my Samsung tv in the living room. Total peace and quiet in the Solano residence while the world falling apart inside my AirPods LoL

Returned midnight 8/256 for SG 8/512/67w. BTW 67w does include MagSafe too. First time SG on any apple device. M2 flies. YouTube reviews don’t do this laptop justice. Been using it for a few days now. No slow downs what so ever.

Thanks for posting the sleeve details! I've been looking for a good case for my MBA. I purchased the Incase Facet sleeve from the Apple Store but I'm going to return it as despite it being sold as compatible to MBA 2022, there's one corner that protrudes outside the sleeve. Ugh.

You’re welcome. You will like this one. I like everything about it.

So far, so good. I pretty much bought it (24/1TB) b/c of more memory and Magsafe's return ... which has already come in handy a few times. :) (My M1 Air is getting sold tomorrow.)

How much are you getting for your M1 Air if I may ask? And private party or reseller?

Im selling my M1 Air base for $545 on Macmeanoffer

Have never charged a laptop at any level where a kid or dog could pull the cable out, common sense really

Thanx. My favorite Rolex watch. Bought it back in 2015 along with a sub “hulk”
I used to own a classic GMT, but switched out the bezel to a Pepsi, which I loved. Then I bought a GMTc. These days I wear my Daytona mostly (prior to ceramic bezel).

Apple Store doesn't carry that brand. I would be careful using a case like that as it doesn't really appear to have built-in protection from the zipper area.

I didn't think about that. I bought an incase brand from Apple and it doesn't have any protection from the zipper but it seems plastic so maybe not needed. I don't like it because the sides bunch up when I put my MacBook in it. The outside feels like cheap nylon and when the material is bunched up inside it looks crappy. It just seems poorly made especially for the $50 price. I bought one maybe a decade ago from Apple when I had a 13" MacBook Pro and it was really nice and well made but I can't remember the brand.

This is the one I bought from Apple

Oh we have common sense in our house. Stuff happens with kids and what not. Obviously my kids have never destroyed any of my lap tops while charging but its a plus to have Magsafe for that reason and many other reasons. Believe me there's many parents out there who feel this way. Anyways moving along now.....

I had a ceramic daytona "panda" I paid retail in 2016. I sold that watch 3 months ago. You seen current prices for Rolex/Tudor watches today? Crazy high prices. Got good money on that one. I kept hulk and batman. Arguably some of the best time pieces Rolex has ever released. Those colors just pop.

Oh, I can relate to that. I bought the Incase Facet Sleeve from Apple as well, and it's crap. On the rounded side, the MacBook corner sticks out. I can barely manage to zip past it and there's a bump. So no protection at all on that corner. The inside looks crappy as well, material bunched up and cheap nylon. I strongly advise against this sleeve, I'm returning it.

I used to have the Incase Classic sleeve on my MacBook Retina - neoprene outside and a soft felt in the inside. It fit very well and provided a good protection.

Someone on ifixit had confirmed that the parts for the MBA and the 14" MBP are the same. I'm sorry but I don't have time to find the exact post right now. No reason to think they were lying though.
You mean someone from iFixit stuff confirmed that, and not just some random posting unknown forum member nickname "iknoweverything12345" or like that? I'm not saying your source is lying, but I know what I have tested myself and the keyboards just don't sound even close to the same between the two (MBP 14" and MBA M2). Sure they look the same.

I went with this case for the m2 air. love it and the magnetic closure....the rubber around the case is pretty stiff and will def protect against drops. I just couldn't trust zippers with the midnight color

I always go for the Dash Sleeve from Waterfield

After a week I am really liking the new M2 air. The fingerprints don't bother me as much and I rarely notice the notch.

My biggest gripe honestly is with mag safe. Having that connector makes the notebook feel kind of dated honestly. Again, they are reselling us 10 year old tech. Also the the fact that Apple has essentially fragmented yet ANOTHER charger. I mean: Completely different magsafe for notebooks, phones and watches (yes I put the watch charger in this family).

Apple's version of "Wireless" is NOT IN OUR BEST INTEREST. Just more fragmented, proprietary nonsense.
I don't know what the answer is. USB-C for the next 5 years for sure but after that we need a standard "wireless" connector.

Compared to the M1 MacBook Air (and the intel ones before) you got that 10 year old tech in addition to the USB-C ports. And you don't have to use it.

I think the problem is that those chargers were developed very independently. In 2015 when Apple released the first serious smartwatch they developed a special charger for this single watch because there was not really an alternative that would have fitted.
The first iPhone with wireless charging was the iPhone 8 in 2017. There they adopted the already existing de-facto standard: Qi. They could have used the Apple watch charger, but then all other existing wireless chargers not made for or by Apple wouldn't have worked.
Now with computers they need much more power delivery than with those tiny devices. So they need a real physical connection. Wireless is not really an option because it would take ages to charge a 100 mAh battery that in in the current 16" MacBook Pro.

What they could do it to lobby at the other device developers for a wireless charger like Qi but smaller so it fits for watches.

I agree with half of this. I'm a firm believer in the "You don't have to use so don't complain about it philosophy", but in this case I have to SEE it whether I use it or not. First world problems for sure. I will admit, I did miss the charging indicator.

Thats probably not the answer. Ultimately I think the answer will be TRUE wireless charging. IOW: A device in your home that throws charging over distance to various devices. That would be a standard everything could use no matter the size. But thats at least a decade away if not more.

Yeah, prices are nuts. I was looking to buy a rose gold Daytona with the rubber strap right around the time pandemic started and not only were they impossible to find, but price had jumped like crazy. They look even worse now.

Anyway, great watches, wear them in good health!
