In regards to the iphone-- is there a way I can turn off the automatic "turn sideways" thing except when viewing pictures?

I hate lying down in bed, trying to text, and my iphone decides to turn sideways. I dont' text sideways EVER. I only use that when viewing pics. Is there a way to make this stop?

Turn on Rotation Lock?

Just in time for my dumb questions!

  1. Will third-party apps like Whatsapp be able to implement quick reply in iOS 8?
  2. Will third-party apps like Whatsapp be able to display notifications on a Mac?

Sorry for being stupid, but how do I do that?

From the bottom of your screen (starting below the screen), swipe your thumb up. You should see a panel popup. Top-right button is a lock with a circle around it, click that.

I can't seem to turn off the predictive text suggestions above the keyboard... It let me close it once by swiping down but not anymore.

Hold down the Smiley to the left of the space bar then press "Predictive on." This will turn off the suggestions

Not sure if this qualifies as a stupid question but...

When using an ipad with an external bluetooth keyboard can you scroll things (like webpages) using the arrow keys? An iPad + a keyboard cover is almost the perfect mini laptop/netbook replacement for me except for this issue. I hate having to reach up to the screen to scroll when i'm using my iPad with a keyboard!

When you select the desktop option in Safari does it keep that option every time you visit that website or do you have to select the desktop option every time you launch the site?

Is there an option to press "enter" to send in iMessage? when using a bluetooth keyboard it's annoying to have to reach up from the keyboard to press "send" on in messages.

I totally agree with this one ..

Number 1. stupid question:
Where is Health App and Bug Reporter App hiding in iOS 8 on iPad Air?
Number 2. stupid Question:
Why is the website "loading" activity wheel is still spinning after the website was successfully loaded and does it mean that my data is being eaten away..?

1. Not there, may come in a future beta.

2. Images may still be loading or things of that nature.

There is one thing I am not that sure about, propably it counts as a stupid question.
Does the grayscale mode help battery life? I remember that the S5 has a feature to turn the screen white and grey which brings a lot longer battery life.

Will it allow you to use touchID for iTunes/app store and other future apps(that will use touchID), without requiring a password to lock the whole phone each time one turns off the screen?

No it does not because the galaxy screen has different technology (OLED) than the iPhone screen which makes that possible.

Will an iPod nano 7 connect to health book since the nano has a nike+ app?

Does health book support nike+?

I presume if one is able to log into a Nike+ account on the nano, then the data can be transferred to an iPhone which is connected to the Health app. However, if the nano's Nike+ data is only available/accessible on the nano itself and isn't/can't be connected to an account, then no, the nano cannot connect to the Health app.

Health will not support Nike+ until iOS 8 is released.

1. I'm not sure on this one, I haven't read into the extent of extensions yet.
2. iOS 8 won't be responsible for this, WhatsApp will need a Mac app for this to work.
