I presume if one is able to log into a Nike+ account on the nano, then the data can be transferred to an iPhone which is connected to the Health app. However, if the nano's Nike+ data is only available/accessible on the nano itself and isn't/can't be connected to an account, then no, the nano cannot connect to the Health app.

Health will not support Nike+ until iOS 8 is released.

Thanks for answering! Yes, the iPod nano does connect to your Nike+ account when you sync it with your iTunes account! So hopefully it will transfer the information to the health app in iOS8!!!

Multiple Copies in Recently Added

I would think this is a bug that in Recently Added in your photos it shows both the hard copy of the image and the copy stored on iCloud am I correct. I would hope so or that could be very irritating to a OCD type person :eek: ???

In regards to the iphone-- is there a way I can turn off the automatic "turn sideways" thing except when viewing pictures?

I hate lying down in bed, trying to text, and my iphone decides to turn sideways. I dont' text sideways EVER. I only use that when viewing pics. Is there a way to make this stop?

Rotation lock?

Will any of the new developer API's allow something like F.lux to work natively on iOS without a jailbreak necessary?

I miss it on my phone so much but am really not interested in jailbreak anymore for the most part.

Probably a stupid question but I've just got a dev account and was reading stories of iOS betas causing problems with the baseband? if that happened would i be able to downgrade to fix it?

Swipe up to access CC, then hit the Orientation Lock button (farthest to right in top row).

What's stupid is that iOS 7 for iPad doesn't come with a calculator.
I've shelled out $500+, and they can't include one?

Please tell me Apple has put a calculator in iOS 8 for iPad.

No but you can download one of the many free calculator apps from the App Store

You can buy a calculator for $10.00 in any store....

Why did you shell out $500 for an iPad?? Crazy !!!

Not so stupid question that I really want answered: So right now in iOS 7 if you get a group message you get a notification with the senders name. I'm guessing that is the same in iOS 8. But my question is. In iOS 8 if you pull down for quick reply and it's a group message does it show that it's a group message or the other peoples names or something like that? It could be bad to send a message to what you thought was one person and have it turn out to be more

Well in iOS8 you're able to rename threads into whatever you want.
What it says in the notification when you receive a message i cannot tell yet, since i haven't gotten a message since i renamed them.

Really! Ask any question you think is dumb here, and I or someone else will hopefully answer your question(s)!

Should A5(X) devices upgrade to iOS 8?
iPhone 4S runs iOS 7 lamely, and iPad 3 is better because of its 1GB RAM.
I won't upgrade my iPhone 4S to iOS 8, but should I upgrade my iPad 3 to iOS 8?

Thanks!

Is it possible to Airdrop iTunes content from your Mac to an iOS device?

The idea of being able to quickly drop a movie from iTunes onto my iOS 8 device seems great to me. I don't sync often anymore and when I do it takes forever just to get a movie onto the device.

My current solution is to just download it from iCloud on the device. But my ISP has data caps and downloading multiple copies of content really burns threw my cap.

Of course. But if you've tried any of those free ones, they are filled with ads and ugly interfaces.

My point is why does Apple feel they need to leave out this basic utility. It's on the iPhone and iPods. The iPad is increasingly used as a productivity tool. It just seems petty and puzzling. It's not as if they're going to make a killing off their 30% cut of $10 calculator apps.

Reminders app

Does the reminders app in iOS8 carry over the the bug from iOS7 whereby the red badge showing the number of overdue reminders doesn't show up?

Because apple is now allowing third party apps, will iPhones finally get dot lock (pattern lock) like the androids have?

A few questions...

1. With categories being different, will apple allow developers to update to the new categories without a binary code submission?
For example Games>Sports>Basketball

2. Will apple allow developers to update video promos without having to submit new binary code to the market?

3. Can a user initiate video promo from the search results page, or will they have to go to the app profile page?

Cheers :)

One thing thats bugged me for ages is that when an email comes in, if you read it on the mac, it does not get marked as read on the iPhone/ipad or vice versa. Seems to have no similar problems with iMessages, just email.

So, is this finally fixed in iOS 8? or do we still have to open the mail app to clear down the unread badge.

Mine eventually does, but it takes forever for iCloud to sync on my iPad and iPhone, but not on my Mac. Reading an email on my iPhone or iPad immediately marks it as read on my Mac, but reading an email on my iPhone, iPad or Mac doesn't update my iPhone or iPad until I manually open the Mail app.

Does IOS8 track monthly billing cycle, and thus month-month data usage is easier? Ala how Android does.
No, It tracks another monthly cycle to give you warning to get out of the house.

It's not iOS it's the crap mail app on OSX.

Hey I was dumb enough and trusting enough to put iOS 8 on my main phone, mostly because I did for every iOS 7 beta and never had problems as severe as I am having for iOS 8 beta.

So some of the few problems: Wouldn't let me answer calls...which was frustrating. Every app dashing eventually when switching to my emoji keyboard. Quick reply not actually sending messages. And the last and most annoying:

It wouldn't charge over night and won't even connect to my computer. So I tried turning it off and I couldn't even do it with assistive touch. I found someone online that said resetting network settings does the trick but now the phone won't turn on. It has the icon like it is dead and needs to charger (which it appears it actually is now) but I know the phone was around 20% when it was turned off.

What is the deal? I wanted to reset to iOS 7 but I don't want to lose my backup and have to start over...I'm weird about that. So if it works eventually should I just do a complete install of iOS 8 since the update was OTA?
