Does the long second hand move on the Chronograph watch face? Mine stays still at 12 o'clock, only the tiny second hand inside a little circle in the middle of the watch moves.

You have to go into the world clock on your iPhone and move the city you want to show to the top of the list. Then it will show up on your apple watch.

Alternatively, I've figured it out.
Go to watch face selection, then customize. Swipe left until the highlight box is on the city. Turn the crown up and down to select which city you want (must be in the list)

If I plug the charger into my iPad block, will the watch charge faster?

I've measured the power and it's not even drawing the full 5 W the Apple brick can output. So no.

Haptic on Messages

I can't get the haptic alert to work for messages. Any ideas/help? It seems to work on calls but not on messages.

What is everyone doing with their watch tonight? Or until a dock purchase? I was thinking that my watch might get knocked off my nightstand so maybe I should put it in its case at night.

Try changing the settings in the watch app, from mirror iPhone to custom and select what you want.

I've done that but I can't get any haptic on messages. What settings are you suggesting? I've got it set to haptic and not sound. Still get message but not a haptic notification. Driving me nuts.

Ask your stupid questions in this thread! :)

I've got a laundry sorter thing from Amazon in the bedroom near my nightstand. It has a horizontal bar on one side, which ends up collecting things like headbands, various headphones, etc. I buckled my watch onto that bar for tonight, charging cable is nice and long and the cats can't get to it. Not cute but practical.

The boyfriend is awaiting a Spigen stand (and his watch, sigh), but I'm pretty sure those stands will just be cat magnets. Our cats are jerks like that.

How does it connect to WiFi? I turned off the Bluetooth on my phone and then can't use Siri on my watch. Is this normal?

Hmm. Thought I read it can snarf down the wifi settings from your phone and still accomplish things like Siri without being in range of phone...as long as phone is on the same wifi network.

Earlier my phone was upstairs in my room (with Bluetooth on) and I was using Siri downstairs, way out of range of Bluetooth.

Idk. Very weird.

Do you guys have sound on mute for all notifications ?
I don't want to get any more breaking news Bruce Jenner is woman alert sounds

I'm turning the ping sound off for everything

Lock, Passcode, and Messages

I fold, I need help, I'm sure it's some setting, but here where I need help:

1. Every time I wake the phone and want to do something from waking the screen it wants the passcode, ugh, and seems almost always have the blue lock. Is there a setting somewhere to remedy this. And yes, this is on my wrist. :(

2. I seem to only get like 10% of notifications and messages or intermittent at best. What am I doing wrong?

I had the same issue with my wife's watch. Discovered that-

1. If you have your phone in use (unlocked and screen on), it doesn't trigger the notifications in the watch. The watch did receive haptic notifications if the phone it's paired with is locked and the screen is off. Doesn't make sense, but this is what I observed.

2. You may have the mute on in the watch glances settings screen.

Do you mean every time you wake the watch? This happened to me a few times where it was locked even though it was still in my wrist. I think you may need to tighten ur wristband a little more so the watch sensors never lose contact with ur skin.

If ur phone is unlocked or the screen is on, the watch will assume ur using the phone and u won't get notifications on ur watch. Make sure when ur testing this that the phone is locked with screen off.

Unfortunately yes, on both accounts. My band is tight (Milanese Loop SS) and my phone is locked. Still asks for passcode on every wake if I want to do anything. I've even started fro scratch with the same results. I have hairy arms?

I think my watch hates me. :(

This may not be useful, but play with the security settings for the watch on the *phone app*. There's one about letting the watch stay unlocked when the phone is. It seemed to have made that constant locking less irritating for me, even when the phone actually is locked.

If you read all the instructions in the watch app, it explains all of this.

1. Actually, this is brilliant and makes a ton of sense. If you are using your phone, you are obviously getting your notifications there. There is no need to get the same notification on your watch. Also, if you aren't wearing the watch the notification will not be pushed to the watch either. It's truly ingenious how smart they handle the notifications.

I'm loving this thing.

BTW: can you reorder glances?
