$100 rule FTW. I get a new iPhone every 12 months at the fully subsidized price and sell my old one for more than I paid for it. It's a great system!![]()
Can someone elaborate on the $100 rule?
Spend over $100/month and the upgrade schedule is accelerated...or something like that.
How does it account for family plans? I have a family plan with 5 members all with iPhones. We pay about $260 a month. I am the head of the account. I am qualified for an upgrade on 6/21/10 but other members who purchased iPhones at the same time are not qualified until early 2011.
Think it has to be $100/line. So one of my lines is ready, the other isn't.
Sounds like you called in and set yourself up on a FAN account (w/o realizing what account it was.) Probably something you got out of some forum thread.
Click on one and select a phone. If you get a message with a date, that's it. If no message, you are currently eligible.
Or just do the *639# thing. It's really not hard at all. Not sure why ppl keep ignoring that.
How does the early upgrade work? I bought the 3GS on launch day and AT&T says I am able to upgrade in 02/2011.. so is that the month I am able to get a new iphone for $200/300? And as for the early upgrade will I be able to get the new iphone come June/July for the $400/500 price? with the early upgrade does the 2-year time frame start over again? Sorry for the noobish questions I'm just new to all this upgrade stuff, this will be my first go around with it.
I found this on AT&T's site: http://www.wireless.att.com/learn/why/upgrade-advantage.jsp
This seems to give you an extra discount on upgrades and not an accelerated upgrade time. Is the "$100 rule" something different than AT&T's "Upgrade Advantage"?
How do you check on premier accounts? I hit Upgrade Eligibility and it sends me to a preimer store.
