Hey! I also was thinking the same thing. Personally i'm waiting for the getuncommon case to come out. So until then I looked online and searched ebay and amazon. And found out that ebay would ship wayy to slow (esp from hong kong). And I always trusted amazons super fast shipping. But anyways here is the case I ordered, its silicon...I know. Gizmo-Dorks-Silicone-Iphone-4. You can most likely order overnight through them.

Called FedEx since their tracking number has shown nothing since the weekend. Rep asked if package was from AT&T. I said yes. She said all their packages are being held till tomorrow and won't be delivered till Thursday. When I told her that a bunch are being delivered tomorrow, she said I was wrong and that AT&T had instructed them to hold them. So some are being delivered tomorrow and mine is sitting in a warehouse? How can that be right? I ordered first thing in the store in on the 15th.

I'm envious of those of you who have had your status change. People who ordered later than me have theirs arriving, some people who ordered before me are in the same boat as me. Seems like a big cluster f**k from AT&T.

Guess I'll keep checking back and see if anything changes, although I'm starting to think I'm one of many thousands who are getting shafted.

I posted this earlier. It sounded like several were in my boat. I check again just now and saw that my order is still 'in progress' but the numbers are no long showing up as 'back ordered'. That must have dropped off in the last hour. I'll take any good news I can get. Nothing on shipping, but my 'hope' level just moved from a 1 to a 5 (on a scale of 10 !)

If you're still in the same boat - it seems like there's still a chance...
 
Just an update guys!

I ordered (premier) on the 15th
Order said 16th on normal order status page
In progress, back ordered...
Just came off back ordered!!!

It'll be here either tomorrow or the 24th, so don't sweat it guys :cool:
 
This is very irritating. I ordered mine through AT&T's Premier's site on the 15th. My order status is still listed as "In Progress" The last update of my order was June 18th.

I better get my iPhone this 24th, that was the whole reason of me pre-ordering it in the first place!

I hear that a lot of people's iPhone's are stuck in limbo with the "In Progress" status. I keep refreshing every day in hopes to see "Shipping" :mad:
 
I'm in Anchorage and ordered 2 16GB i4s at the local store on 6/15 at 9:30 am ADT which is 1:30 pm EDT; these phones will replace the 2 current 3G's that I have.

My order status shows 'shipped 6/19' for each and lists two separate tracking numbers with FedEx but FE still shows no info.

I talked to the local CSRs here and they seem confident that my phones and the others they presold on 6/15 will deliver on 6/24.

Its obvious that AT&T's site is slow...It'll ship don't worry. People have called in about their order, escalated it, and got a tracking even tho it says "in Progress". Im not gonna sweat it :)
 
Exactly the same as your situation. Came from 101 to 100 an hour ago. No shipping information. Hope it'll arrive tomorrow or the 24th.

I took one for the team and was on hold for 30 minutes for Premier Customer Service (btw, 1-866-499-8008, wait for prompts #2, #3, #0).

Ordered before 8:00 AM on 15th.

One of my premier upgrades has been shipped with tracking. The other is saying back ordered.

The enthusiastic customer service representative indicated I will not receive the backordered phone on the 24th. Said sometime between 25th - 28th. So you all are likely in the same boat that are Premier, and have theirs labeled 'back-ordered'. He could not explain why one is shipping and the other is not. He was sort of like a robot, "it will ship between 25th and the 28th" over and over. He even said the one that has a tracking number may not be received till after the 24th, although I don't believe that.

Update a day later and both are shipping for tomorrow delivery. What a strange ride this has been. So I'll get both of them prior to folks going to the store on the 24th?

Dude, you should have spoken up and asked him. This is exactly why I don't go into the AT&T store if I don't have to. 95% of the people there are just trying to get through the day. Customers are just obstacles to them.

Are the phones in the back room as I saw FedEx leaving when I got there or was he trying to shut me up? I am just confused as to why he never asked me for any information, like my phone number, but only my last name.

If you ordered in-store it's being shipped to the store.

I'm still stuck at 101 even though I ordered early in the morning on the 15th. Only reason I am still a little hopeful I'll get on the 24th is that there is a pending charge against my card.

i ordered at the store at 6:30pm est. my phone is in transit. fedex says i should receive it tomorrow by 10:30am. my bank card is still in hold status.
 
Mine says it Arrived and Departed Louisville, KY... Does that mean that its now on a plane to Birmingham, AL (closest hub or UPS station to me) or is it going to be on a truck to Birmingham? Either way, it should be in Birmingham before the time they load trucks for delivery (in the morning).

FedEx sends all packages through Memphis hub, where they are sorted and sent on their way. True story: if you send an overnight package from LA to San Diego, FedEx sends it to Memphis and then from Memphis to San Diego.
 
Here's an Update

AT&T store just called me to tell me that the phone I ordered at 10:30 AM PDT on 6/15 should arrive in the store on July 3 and that they would call me. Now that pi$$es me off! The worst store ever as they were still putting hand orders in late on July 16 so people after me got theirs earlier I would guess. Small town too. Jerks, but at least I know something.
