AT&T Confirming Shipment of iPhone 4 Pre-Orders

Fed-ex is saying my iphone will arrive tomorrow!
They will probably end up holding it till 24th though.
Since Apple shipped phones are arriving tomorrow, there is no reason why AT&T shipped phones won't as well. Some phones are arriving today (much to the chagrin of anyone that works and wasn't at home I'm sure) which further makes the pointlessness of Apple having FedEx hold shipments apparent.
After reading Engadget's glowing review, I can't wait to get my hands on the phone.
I was in the same boat and heard as 2 colleagues that I coached through the ordering process on Premier who placed their orders 1-3 hours after me, got emails indicating their orders had been shipped. I did see that the backorder number went to 0. A couple of hours later I saw that my order had shipped on AT&T site, not the Premier site. Guess when I got the email? oh, about 4 hours later.......Phone is due to arrive tomorrow via Fedex by 3pm. Hope that is true. We must learn to be patient. We are the lucky ones that got through on the 15th and we able to place and order. I'll keep repeating that to myself until I have the phone in my hot little hands AND it's activated.

So I thought this was interesting..considering I've been reading forum and checking my order status through ATT like mad trying to figure out when my Iphone would be shipped..if I would get it this week at all. Because for me I'm one of those people who tried once in the morning to preorder...at like 5 am Pacific time..and then gave up once I couldn't so I went into an ATT store at about 6 pm after work and preordered there..they told me it would be back ordered and that I wouldn't get my iphone until june 2nd? roughly..so i shrugged and agreed but my account was preauthorized the full amount and att order status went to immediate in progress with an order date of 6/16..I'm assuming they put it in at midnight since the systems were down and they gave me a carbon reciept..so Today..6/22 I got a call from the store manager from att and she said to disregard any email that I have gotten regarding my iphone (I didn't get any but oh well) and she said that my phone would arrive on thursday or friday at the store even though I opted for home delivery...and she said they couldn't since they manually put in all the orders..so for all those who are worrying about not getting your phone this week..chances are you will..according to att announcement

So I got the tracking number a few days ago from AT&T but I still have yet to be able to track my shipment. Every time that I try to check the status of my shipment on the fedex site I get a "Not Found" page.
Is anyone else having this problem? I ordered my phone at about 2am pst time so only about an hour after they went on sale and the att site says my order was filled on the 17th. I'm worried that I'm not going to get my phone. =/

so does anyone think i will get my iphone4 on the 23rd like alot of people are if i had my tracking number since monday morning but its still not in the fedex system
Don't worry about it. I placed my order in the AT&T Store at 11:56, and my shipping status hasn't changed since 06/18 when it changed to ship. I'm in the same boat as you, cause the tracking number for FedEx hasn't worked since I got it. But anyways I called up and spoke to 3 different Customer Service Reps for FedEx ( Just to make sure I got a consistent answer ) and they all told me that the tracking number wouldn't work until tomorrow 06/23 because it still needed to be scanned in. So just be a little bit more patient and check it tomorrow morning. I'm sure you, me and everyone else that's in our situation will receive our iPhones either tomorrow or on the 24.

I think that Fedex tracking update crushed they don't have the man power to do the tracking update on line on real time,
the product moves but not the info to the public
I have the same situation. The FedEx rep said they are holding my shipment at AT&T's request. That's why the tracking number comes back showing nothing. Mine also says shipped 17th, but it's just sitting in some warehouse. AAAAAAUUUUUGGGHHHHHH. Cannot possibly arrive before the 24th according to rep.
At least you have information. I ordered mine at 6:30am EST on the 15th and haven't had any information updates since then just "in progress"...
I am with you... Still "In Progress" (but not back-ordered) despite an early order.
same problem here (glad i'm not the only one). i still have 0's under shipped and backordered.
i called this afternoon to make sure everything with my order was correct. they just told me that it was still being processed. thanks sherlock!
My tracking number finally works but here is what it says...

Same for me. My order that I placed for my 2nd phone for the wife is arriving today...
I placed my order via AT&T Premiere shortly before 5:00 am EDT on lauch time and I still don't have any shipping information. The backorder quantity finally changed to 0 areound 9:00 pm EDT last night, but it still shows processing. Anyone else in the same boat?

Yeah, same-same. And they cancelled my duplicate order, so no free iPhone #2 for me alas. *sigh*
AT&T, me chingaron.
Still in progress for me as well so i dunno maybe it will just show up on my doorstep, but as of right now I think it maybe better for my mental health if I just forget about checking the status and let what happens happen.
I'm with you too. Mine changed mid afternoon yesterday off back order. I eagerly checked this morning hoping for a shipping # to have come on overnight. Nothing. Still 'in progress'.
Oh well - I'll go and watch England play soccer now. This iphone debacle has at least helped prepare me for more disappointment...
