How long is it usually taking you guys for U200 to show up?

Other poster has me slightly nervous about whether or not this will be applied. I'm still just showing up 450 minutes. Although it says the last update was at 2:50 AM.

Showed up within a few minutes after I got off the phone with the CSR.

Okay update for people who know my story. I checked my bill today and it seems that the five messages I had to pay for were finally taken out of the 1500 messages. So it seems it is 1500 to all providers, emails, ims, etc.

All the feature codes should show up immediately after you ask the rep to add it. Be sure to ask them to send you an email confirming what you did.

I tried to add U200 last night (already added the TMS4 last week) and got the standard "that's no longer a valid code." I'll try back later.

I was able to get U200 and CMG5 both added to my account. It took about 10 mins and it finally showed up in the details portion of my rate plan. However, the extra minutes have yet to show up in my REMAINING minutes for the month. Will I have to wait until the next billing cycle for these added minutes to show?

No prob adding to my account.

I just called today at 9:00am CST, the lady was extremely nice, almost flirty like. I told her what to do, and she did it did the TMS4 on both line of my family plan, then got the U200 added to both lines (thats 400 extra minutes free) i never imagined that they could add it to both lines the free minutes. I think I am gonna try to take off the TMS4, and downgrade to the TMS3, on both plans, tonight. Ill let yall know how it goes. BTW im in south louisiana if that matters.

I've been able to add TMS4 and u200 to all three lines on my family plan for a total of 600 free minutes per month:D:D

That's a new code for me ... you have it or just guessing?

For those with FAN accounts calling after hours helps as well. Usually the reps at 1AM won't hassle you.

Yes, I have it and it's been mentioned previously in this forum.

I just added late lastnight TMS4 and TMS3 to both lines on my family plan with extreme ease! Guy was very nice and added them with no problems. Now if i could just get my black 16gb from DF id be happy!

Why would you add both?

I just tried adding TMS4 to my account but the rep told me she couldnt add it since i have the $20 iphone data plan with the 200 text messages. She said it wouldnt let her add another text message plan on top of that. Is this true? will it only work with the $30 iphone 3G plan and no text messages? or should i keep calling until someone can do it?

Thanks

you can't have two text messaging plans. just ask them to remove your other plan first.

I THINK you can't get this for an iphone 2G since all the data plans are grouped with text plans. There literally isn't an option for "data plan only". SO removing your text plan would also remove your data plan, which I don't think the user wants to do.

That being said, the 1500 text messages is only $10 more on an iPhone 2G (1500 text with unlimited data is $30 with iphone 2G plans, as opposed to 200 Text + unlimited data is $20). Do you really want to go through this hassle for $1.01 per month?

Just tried U200 and TMS4, was denied both, stating "I cannot find them in our system" and "...after speaking with my supervisor, we don't offer those anymore."

Like has been said, just keep trying. Took me 3 tries.

What has seemed to work the best is just starting with "Hi, I need to add an SOC code to my account." If they start asking you a lot of questions, they're probably not going to do it.

Speaking as someone who has had AT&T/Cingular for years, I can tell you, they are trained to "if in doubt, tell them no or go to a corporate store". I don't think its an official policy so much as they know that no CSR ever got in trouble for not adding a feature, but plenty have gotten in trouble for giving something that a user wasn't supposed to have.

Try calling on Sunday's...most of my calls to CSR's on sundays have been outsourced to India and those reps are very friendly and willing to try /add any code if your lucky.

Update: Called yesterday evening and told the rep that I wanted to add some features to my account. He said which ones, I told him my corporate rep gave me some codes. I then gave him the TMS4 code and checked and added it, and also gave him the U200 and added it.

He even asked me if I had anymore codes to add, would have given him others if I knew of them. Anyway, morally of the story the codes DO work, perhaps telling them you spoke with your corporate rep might help. Good Luck everyone and thanks for the info!

TMS3 is a valid code.

I just added the TMS4 code today at 9:00am no prob, but I don't need that many. I just found out about the TMS3 for 3.99. that will do the trick. I will have to get them to take off the TMS4, and put the TMS3, i wonder if I will have any trouble. I didn't even need to lie to the lady CSR that helped me today.

How many texts is the TMS3 code good for?

Thanks

John :)

Monday night I called Business Care to add TMS4. Lady I first spoke to, I guess asked her co-worker If I could add it. I heard someone in the background saying "No he can't add that to the IPhone plan". So she puts her thing on mute and takes another minute and comes back and says the same thing that her co-worker told her. I call back a minute later to talk to another REP and the lady tagged it and asked no questions. DONE! Woohoo. I love how they try to trick you into getting IPHONE plans only. But yet, they can add it. Obviously which most have done so far. Thanks for the heads up OP!

I still need to add the U200 but didn't want to get to greedy all at once. I figured the text is more important to me first. Will try the other code tomorrow night.

I don't think it is tricking, but rather an example of poor training - which isn't any better. Add to that the complexity of the thousands of FAN accounts out there, each with its own set of eligible codes, I can understand how confusion can set in.
