I tried twice, and had very eager to help reps, but neither was able to enter U200 for me. They said it comes up as expired when they tried. What's the trick?

Similar situation. I had my rep readd my FAN discount (had to take it down to get the 3G at apple) she was very courteous and helpful. She also took the 18 dollar activation fee away, but she told me that she didnt see any U200 or TMS3 or TMS 4 code.'


Could somebody successful write down a quick step by step guide on how to ask/what to ask for? I've read through 2/3 of the thread but didn't really see one... saw a lot of helpful information but a lot of it is conflicting :p

I would assume that TMS3 and TMS4 act in the same way, and my account online actually showed the changes while I was still talking to the CSR, so it took my account less than a minute to show up.

what is the difference btw tms3 and tms4?

people it looks like the tms codes are no longer active. att has been telling people that a memo has gone around about the codes being distributed around the internet so they are closing them. If you want a discount and you have a fan account best thing to do is ask your IT department or HR or whatever for the new codes.

No offense, but AT&T has out and out lied about these codes, so unless we see that no one is able to add these codes anymore, I am not sure that I believe them this time either.
 
I'm a bit confused...

Hi all,

I want to add these codes and such to my family plan. We are using a FAN discount (which is around 18%) I believe.

Currently, we are using a 700 min family plan on 4 lines and the monthly bill comes to around $126/mo.We are currently not using an iPhone plan, although we have 2g iphones (we thought the iphone plans were unnecessary) . I was wondering what the best combination of codes would be for me. I want to get the most out of my account.

Has anyone been able to add TMS4 today? or is this officially taken off their list of codes like stated above?
 
wait, so if we already added this to our account, are we okay, or will it be deleted?

Some members have reported that their CSR's told them that AT&T occassionally does a sweep of all accounts with blacklisted codes and removes them from the accounts.

I don't really believe this but it's what's being reported.

Anybody who already has the codes applied should be in the clear, i believe.
 
I just got a very helpful rep who added TMS4 for me to my iPhone 3G plan without a problem. He hadn't heard of the 1500 texts for $8.99 deal, but when he looked up the code to make sure he found it and applied it. I checked my account online, and I'm showing 1500 B2B for $8.99!

And just to double-check, even though the minutes are classified as B2B, they work for any incoming/outgoing text, correct?
 
I just called to try and add TMS4, the rep said the system wasn't allowing him to do it, after about 5 minutes of being on hold.

Edit: Called back and spoke with another rep. It conflicted with my current messaging plan so she just had to remove that and it was added.
 
I tried both of these codes (TMS4 and U200) this morning and was told that they were both expired.

However, the CSR did say that she would add some bonus minutes to my account anyways, after some finagling on my part.

I have yet to see these show up on My Account on the AT&T website.

How long does it usually take for these features to become available?
 
Just had someone add TMS4 to my account, but she said U200 was not part of my FAN agreement and the only way to get that was to be part of your FAN or to migrate from analog to digital.

I haven't seen the TMS4 show up on my online billing stuff yet - should I be worried it _didnt_ work?

Just for clarity here, the B2B code for the 1500 SMS is not the same as the TMS4 code. From what I've read (in this thread) the B2B code is for corporate/business accounts only. So did you add the TMS4 code to your FAN?

I specifically requested TMS4. If she added the 1500B2B she didn't tell me she did it that way.

She also told me this is strictly for texting, not MMS or video messages.

No biggie, i'm on an iPhone! :)

you're fine. the B2B part is just what shows up on there.
The only caveat with the code is that you have to be a premier member in order to use it (and if you have a FAN discount applied, then you are a premier member).

The TMS4 shows up on your account as "TEXT MSGING 1500 B2B"
Someone in this thread that used to work for AT&T said the B2B just stands for how it was created or something like that, I don't recall exactly.
In any regard, I've been using this for well over a week or so now and I have 1,500 text messages on my account and the ones I'm using are being deducted from that amount- I've been texting people on Sprint and Verizon, so it's not just a Business to Business type thing

I did add the TMS4 to my FAN and it showed up under My Account as 1500 B2B.
