I got my iphone yesterday and just called 611 to add the TMS4 a few minutes ago, got added without any problems, when I called I told the woman that I got the phone yesterday and that our corporate rep gave me the TMS4 feature code to add, and that it should replace my existing text plan. She was able to add it without any issues or probing questions.
 
Just called in and had the TMS4 added to two lines with iPhones. At first the rep said, 'these lines involve iPhones and I'm not sure how that's going to work'. I said, 'my rep told me that it would work. Just make sure that you remove the existing text plan first'. He said, 'oh OK' and did it. Just checked the account and it's listed as an active feature. Thanks everyone!
 
Got TMS4 added today also. Had to call 3 times, here's what happened:


1st rep seemed to be aware of people calling in about TMS4 so he put me on hold for good 5 minutes (maybe was talking to the manager?), came back and told me:

1.) I'm not eligible because I don't have a premier account - what the freak?

I told him I do have a premier account then he replied:

2.) My premier account is not eligible for that discount code.

So at this point it was pretty clear he wasn't going to budge so I said bye and hung up. :rolleyes:


2nd rep was a total 'witch with a b in front' and told me that iPhones are not eligible for discounts as soon as I mentioned the word "iPhone." I then asked her how my coworkers with iPhones got the discount added and she said, "I don't know, maybe they have additional lines?" :confused: *click*


3rd rep, now this guy sounded really nice just from how he answered the phone so I knew luck was on my side. I told him that "a company rep gave me a feature code to add which would replace my existing txt plan." He asked me what it was, I told him TMS4, he said he will try to add it, then got back to me in less than a minute to tell me that he successfully added it on there (YESSS). He also mentioned that the first two months are pro-rated (pay $8.99 x 2 months in advance in my upcoming bill) but I should be charged monthly after that. Then I confirmed with him that the previous txt plan was removed ($5 for 200 txts), thanked him, and hung up.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! :D I was able to see that TMS4 was indeed added and the original txt plan removed via online account management. Now I'm going to be paying $69.99 for the minutes/data plan + $8.99 for 1500 txts with 15% discount on my bill totaling about $70 per month. What a deal for an iPhone! :p
 
Newbie here, been lurking around for months. Just called and added TMS4, when I tried to add the U200 the rep told me that they told he that can't add that code from now on, becuase people got a hold of it and we calling in saying that someone told them to add it to their accounts.
 
So I tried like 3 times, and finally gave up :(
All of them said pretty much the same thing that this code was a mistake or something and wouldn't allow me to do so :( :(

It'd be so nice to have it, and congrats for all of you who got it.
 
Anyone know how much the premier account discounts are?

My cousin applied his company's discount to my account back when I got my 3G and just want to know how much percent off I'm going to get. He didn't even ask me either....he just applied it then told me afterward lol. Now when I log in I see a FAN number with his company's name on the top right of my ATT profile.


I'm going to try to add the TMS4 tomorrow, but what do I say to the ATT rep?
"Hey I have a discount code apply it to my account or else?" :p

TMS4 just worked for me.. LITERALLY.

Got my White 16GB iPhone on 7/30 at 7pm. Added TMS4 at 12:15am, 7/31. First call in!

Now I know how the audience felt when they laughed whenever Jackie Gleason said "Pow! Right in the kisser!" :D

TMS4 worked for me on my second try. The first guy said "I'm sorry sir, but we can only use that code in special circumstances." I thanked him and hung up. The next lady I spoke to just asked what the code was and added it no questions asked.

I just said "Hello, I'd like to add a discount code to my account".

Got both U200 and TMS4 on the 3rd try. First lady was no help. Said I should have the rep call in and add it. Second guy said U200 was expired, but he could add TMS4 no problem.

I checked later and he didn't add it! So I called in again to verify if he added or not and turns out he didn't! I'm sure it was on purpose. The guy on this 3rd try was great. Real nice and willing to help and go the extra mile. So he added both codes with no problem. It even shows on my account now. Freaking awesome!

Where do you see the changes to your account were made? When I check out my details under "rate plans and features", it still says $15 for 1500 text. Is this where your looking? I wonder if I should call back to verify the discount code was successfully added.

You should not see the $15 for 1500. They need to remove that and put in the code after they remove it.

I believe you are looking in the correct place.

Yep, wasn't added. On the phone again trying to have it added correctly. I've been getting "Ya, those numbers have been floating around online and we cannot use them anymore".

They're still valid, they're just giving me a hard time to add it.

They've been giving me a lot of attitude (I've been very polite the whole time), they must be getting a lot of people calling them for it.

I have a FAN # on my account, so I automatically get transferred to the business division, and they told me they received an email saying not to add this code to any iPhone accounts. He wouldn't even try. He told me that I need to have an "iphone text messaging plan" on my account, and this code does not work for iPhones.

My guess is that if you're still getting it added, the person you talked to doesn't check mail, or just got back from vacation and hasn't gotten "the memo" yet. LOL

I'm going to try again a couple more times, randomly!

I've been getting very rude customer service reps after I let them know I want a discount code added to my account! "SIR, WE DON'T HAVE A DISCOUNTED TEXTING PLAN, IT'S $15 DOLLARS."
 
A funny observation I made with the CSR's:

I've had 2 female reps, both said they added the code no problem which it never went through.

I've had 4 male reps, all shut me down right away without even trying to add the code.

I think I'm going to just hang up if a male answers the phone :D

No Go on the 2nd try. Got a really nice female rep, and she sounded confused like she didn't know how to add the code. She put me on hold for about 15 minutes, and then her supervisor came back on and said "Sir, you have an iPhone and that code only works with blackberries, we can not add it to your account".
 
they took off tms3 code taken off my account after I switched back to the original 20 dollar iphone plan. funny my account still says iphone 3g trkg on it and I still have my u200 code. wierd
