AT&T Feature Codes and Free Bonus Feature Codes Including TMS4 1500 SMS for $8.99

tried this morning again, twice. they both said that my current 1500 SMS plan is attached to my data plan and they cannot remove it cause then it would take the data plan off. then she said that's an old code that would have to be grandfathered in for use. that's 7 times total now. wtf. these people are determined to squeeze every last penny out of us. I'll try again later but wtf. did you guys say a magic word for them to do it?

Has anyone ever noticed that to upgrade to 1500SMS its only 10 dollars, so basically your just saving one dollar a month on this deal.

This is the screen on my ATT profile.

Y go through all the hassle of calling, I'll just take it like a man and pay the extra dollar a month.


*** I should also not I am a 1st gen user, so I can understand y you would want the discount 3Gers

They were charging me an extra $15 on top of the $30 for data. I haven't seen a $30 data plan that included 1500 text. That's new to me.

OH...DUH! That's the 1G iPhone plan. We're all talking about plans for 3G iPhones in this thread....(despite the fact that the title doesn't reflect that.)

Ha sorry, probably excited some people. I might just go with that, not too bad of a deal.

Well, yeah. I am still using my 2G phone as well and have the old data plans.... is that why this isn't working?

All in all though, now that I think about it, I'd only be saving a dollar extra every month since I'm paying $30 for data + 1500 txts.... so it's not that big of a deal to me anyway.

also, on one of my rejections today, the lady told me that the reason why the code wouldn't work is because I'm receiving either 15% or 16% off my bill due to the premiere account.... I will have to call them back and ask them if this is true. If that's the case, then it's all good.

It's a standard AT&T lie. Most of us have premier discounts and got the codes anyway... I know I did.

Yep, that would explain it. Because your texting plan is actually tied to your data plan, so it's impossible to add another texting plan.

dur. oh well. I hope they discount my monthly bill then fir having a FAN account.
 
Well I think they're catching on, I called today and as soon as I mention "service code TMS4", she flat out said she didn't have the authority to add the codes, and wanted to know where I got it from because she was getting several calls about it.

Do any of those Feature Codes work with my plan? I was able to have them add on the 200 extra minutes (U200). errrr
 
In order to purchase my iPhone 3G, I had to have them remove my FAN discount (as many have noted). Many have also stated that you can have the FAN put back on after you purchase the phone.

I would like to do this, but the only catch is that I no longer have access to my university email as I did when I first signed up for the FAN about a year ago.

Do you think they will let me back on the FAN if I just call customer service and explain the situation? Or am I SOL because I can't access the email account any longer?

They will most likely make you go to a corporate store and show a student/employee ID.

I'm guessing since you no longer have email access you no longer go to school there so you shouldn't be doing that in the first place.

Did TMS4 about an hour ago on both the iphones on my account. He didnt question me or anything he just added it, then I felt like asking if he could add it to my other line too and he hesitate and did that. Maybe i got lucky.

I started the conversation saying I was given a feature code, and I would like it added to my account. He asked for it and that was that.

So you should get the discount even though you are no longer a student there? That doesn't make any sense...
 
I just called in for the second time and was successfully able to add both TMS3 and U200 to my account... however the first time they didn't show up online! I just did it again, so hopefully it will work this time.

WTF! I just went to the AT&T store to pick up and activate my iPhone. Now my TMS4 is not showing on my account anymore and its back to pay per use plan. Is that normal? Can the store put the code back on or am I going to have to call up again to get it added?
 
Looks like only U200 worked. I checked my account online today and only the U200 took. I called back and got refused every time. I could tell they were lying. I think some of the call centers have been alerted since there are SO many people calling in.

Looks like things worked out. Today was my accounts rollover date...or whateva....my feature codes are still there.

picked up my phone this afternoon around 5 from the apple store. when i set up my account, i told them no text plan. he looked at me like i was crazy.

got home around 7, logged on to att and set up my premier acct with my work email. right after i did that, i called customer service. i told the lady i had a few codes i got from work that i wanted to add to my acct. i said that the peeps at work told me not to add a texting plan when setting up my acct at the apple store because when i called to add tms4, it wouldn't work. i also said that they gave me the u200 code as well. a few minutes later, she said ok, both codes have been added. she then gave me the pro rated minutes and texts since i started mid cycle.

first try, very quickly and great service to boot. this new at&t customer can't complain!
 
I've had zero success with U200...so sad :(.

I called 611 10 times. maybe I'll try my luck tomorrow.
