Just had both codes added to my FAN account. 3:00 AM Eastern August 15th. TMS4 and U200. The rep was very nice and went out of his way to inform me that the TMS4 ONLY covers text messaging, not media. So if I were to send or receive any picture or video messages I would be charged. I think we all know that one of the only iPhone flaws is the lack of media messaging so I think we are alright until apple updates their messaging (if they do).
 
premier member here. called, had it applied. att called me back and said it was not valid for me. the csr talked to a supervisor to find out for sure, who said that i couldn't do it because the iphone has just the iphone text plans. guess ill try later.

Did you tell them that the feature was to REPLACE the existing text plan you have?

If your on the 1G edge iphone then these plans will not work.
 
Is everyone still able to use U200??? I've tried several times at different times of day and no luck! Help!
 
Bonus 200 SMS

I dont know if it was mentioned but get 200 bonus SMS by calling in code CLL2. It is CollegeSMS200 and is bonus applied per month. So get CLL2 and get 200 bonus SMS. It does not include MMS and can be placed ontop of your current plan.

I JUST called ATT right now, out here in California where it's past 1 A.M. (lol i've never dialed any kind of customer service this late...haha) and can confirm that it does indeed work and shows up on my account page! I told my rep i had a college FAN discount (as an SF State Student) and to add CLL2 to get 200 free texts, at first she said "No, sir, i don't think that will work...but let me try it....OH, IT DOES WORK!"....haha. Thanks for the info, much appreciated as i do not text a lot so i opted to do pay-per-use...this definitely might change now with this though! Now i have U200 and CLL2 added...woo...:D

EDIT: Anybody know how this works though? Let's say i've used around 25 text messages this month, and just got this added...will they deduct the 25 from the 200 free, or just prorate/start the free texting today? I mean you don't have to have an existing text plan as i don't have one and got it added...but If anyone finds out, pass the info along...thanks!
 
U200 still works

I called today and just had a nice conversation and told him that I received a company email (and named the company) from HR that they where now offering 200 extra minutes and gave them the U200 code and everything went through.
 
What # are you guys calling I just tried to call the 1-800-331-0500 and it says they are closed (it is 12:30pm Central). Would like to get my FAN activated and add some of these codes too!

Well, my 1st bill after the initial 113 prorated and activation charge bill came in.

I must say that I'm quite pleased with my bill. It seems I pay less now than I paid with my old edge data plan.

I used to pay ~80 a month

Now im at $68 on my 1st true bill.

I'm trying to figure out my bill and i can't seem to understand how it got that low.

I received a 13.50 credit for adjusting my old $15 txt plan to the 8.99 one
and my National account discount was 10.50

well...I'm not complaining though :D

If you don't have a FAN discount on your account, business care won't even talk to you. So there's no point in trying to call them. Just put the FAN on.
 
For those of you having trouble getting U200 to work try Y200. At&t has two networks, telegance and care. U200 is for telegance (worked for me in NC), Y200 is for care (worked for my friend in Cali).
 
I just tried 800-331-0500 5 mins ago and got U200 and TMS4 added with no problems on my iphone 3g FAN account.

I just had a really quick call with customer care about adding CLL2 to my account. The rep had absolutely no issues adding it onto my 3G iPhone plan.

Basically, just told her that I an email from my employer (NYU) about a new feature code that we could get added to our plans, and that I wanted to add CLL2. She put me on hold while she checked if my plan was eligible, this took like 1 minute. She added it to my plan, sent me a confirmation email, and it even shows up on OLAM already. :D

I think I'll try another code tomorrow night.

0 for 5. This is really annoying.

The first guy was really nice -- took care of my activation fee waiver, but said that any codes needed to go through an AT&T corporate store.

The next four women were also really nice but three told me my FAN was not associated with any codes and one who actually asked for the codes said that they were "not AT&T codes," whatever that means :eek:

5 times in one night is enough. Worried they might blacklist me. Will try again tomorrow.

BTW all calls were between 12-1245am CT.
 
Just tried CLL2 3 times, I'm in NC, go to Appalachian State and I'm on the Telegence network. Each time I called the reps could not find the code in the database nor could they find it when i told them it was for CollegeSMS200. The closest they could find was a bonus free month of unlimited texting, they didn't give me the code for it, so I cannot pass it on, but they did apply it. Perhaps CLL2 is a Care network code, if anyone can find the Telegence comparable code I'd love to get it. Thanks.
 
Wow I'm so happy.

iPhone 3g here. Everything has showed up on AT&T except the texting, but the site is going really slow right now and the guy on the phone said they are updating the system. The rep sounded like he was reading a canned script. He also sounded older. Said U200 and CLL2 were applied though. He did whatever I told him. My new bill:

$39.99 - 450 with rollover + 200 free = 650 minutes!!
$4.99 - 200 text + 200 bonus text = 400 texts!!
$29.99 3g data plan unlimited

Total: $75 - 20% = $60

+ tax = $69

I am amazed and thank you all for your help!! My plan is amazing now. I love it!!!!!
 
Hello, so I've called 611 about 4 times, and have been rejected every time trying to add CLL2. On the last call, I found out there is a note put on my account that says that CLL2 is not valid for my account.

Anyone know what the problem is? The reps would not tell me the reasoning except that it wasn't valid for my account.

I have a fan # from work that gives me a 15% discount if that matters.
 
U200

I tried adding the U200 code this morning (8/19) and the rep said that it is no longer a valid code and can not be added to any account any more.

I'll try again in the night, and see if I have better luck then.
