Okay, thanks, you guys know what all information they ask you when you call them to add a code?

All I said was "I just activated my phone and telecom told me to call and get a FEATURE CODE added."

She then said that she needed my mobile number and she needs a minute to pull up my account. Then she asked for my name and last four digits of my SSN to verify I'm me. After that, she asked what feature code I had and I said "TMS4" and she repeated it back to me to insure that was the right code.

Then she said that'll she look it up and then she asked if it was the 1500 texts for $8.99? I said "yes, that's it"

Then she went on to explain how it'll be prorated and all that. And then I was like "Yep, I know. Telecom explained it all to me." Then she said "Good! You know your stuff." And I said "Yes I do."

The call lasted about 3 minutes.

I guess I lucked out.

Thanks for noticing!!! I travel between this one, SD and Howard FOrums so I can follow the ATT deals. I appreciate when people notice my help :)
Fireshot, yes they do. I have the U200 (Free 200 minutes), CLL2 (Free 200 SMS), and TMS3 (250 SMS for $3.99) on my account with 20% off FAN account.

sharkzfanz, nice to see you're helping both on macrumors and slickdeals on the same type of thread.

Repped! :p

Has anyone tried BM350 (bonus 350 minutes) recently? Would like to bump my minutes up to 1000 from 650. Don't know whether it's worth a shot or walk away now. I could always use additional minutes.

What I've come to realize is that these AT&T reps have a sheet full of FAN codes right in front of their faces. They probably have a whole bunch of codes we do not know about.

I called tonight to have TMS3 added to my account. The guy paused for a sec and appeared to be looking at his screen.

He then says "Sorry sir, there is no code for CMS3 or that code is not valid with your iPhone."

I then say to him "No, I said TMS3".

He then says "Oh, TMS3. Yes sir that is correct. There is a TMS3. 250 text msgs a month at $3.99 a month. Would you like to add it?"

I say yes, thank you, and then hang up the phone.

So hmmmm..

Question regarding TMS3

I added this and I looked at my account right now. It says 250 text messages B2B. Does that only apply for business 2 business lines?

So if I try texting a regular t-mobile, verizon cell phone, will I be charged?

No. It's been confirmed that it's 250 texts no matter who you text. It just has "B2B" to show that you have the discounted text plan.

Just wanted to chime in...

I called yesterday and on the fourth time I got the CSR to add TMS3 to my account. The first two were saying that they were not allowed to add the codes when the customers called in talking about them. One of them knew specifically about U200 and said it was completely expired.

Oh well, now I have 250 txts for $3.99.

So let me get this straight i go to a tech college can i still get the u200 and TMS4 codes added? my college offers a 15% discount but i dont know if they offer premier account

If your college offers a discount, sign up on ATT's site for the FAN. If you are eligible, and get the FAN applied to your account, then call to see if you can get the codes applied. If not, you can't.

BL.

I get a 20% FAN discount and I just called business care and tried to get TMS3 applied... after about 10-15 minutes of him "researching" the code, even though he found it right away, he said my line didn't apply because it's an "end user account."

"What's an end user account?"
"That's an account where you yourself pay the bill."
"As opposed to?"
"An account where your business pays the bill."

I'm assuming this is bull and I should call back?

OKAY IM GOING TO ANSWER A FEW POSTS IN ONE:

1) End User would say to me no FAN. Make sure your talking to Business CARE as they need to add the code. If you log into OLAM and see FAN: ------ in the upper right hand corner your okay. Dial 611 on your phone and add TMS3 again.

2) BM350 is retentions only and even further managers in retentions are the only ones able to add it. only 1/250 people havel been able to get this and its expired so even makes it hard. Good amount of minutes but if you get it id be shocked and you will probibly get bad notes for trying. Not saying dont try just giving my 2 cents.

3) For AntDG yes you can get those codes but better have luck on your side for U200. That has been beaten to death and 90% of reps will not add it. TMS4 no issue at all. Just get the FAN on the account and your off and running with calling in TMS4.

4) TMS4 and TMS3 show up as B2B and we spend pages on this one a month ago. It is anyone to anyone on any network both incoming and outgoing. Can be more clearer than that. SMS only no MMS.

5) They go have a system to add codes but most cannot be added by the reps. It is only for them to check codes to see what they are for.

Well I think that covers it for today ill see you all later. Feel free to PVT me if there are still unanswered questions that I missed or that need clarification.

hey guys,

I plan on updating to the 3G phone this weekend and I want to use the TMS3 code..... should I even have them add text messaging to my plan when I sign up this weekend? or don't and then call later to try to add code?

just pass on texting at first then call right away to add it. Just dont text until its added!

So I called about adding the TSM4 code to my account. The CSR said something about the code being for an older orange network and my line being on a newer blue network or something like that. He also said it doesn't work with the iPhone. Is there truth to this or should I call again?

FAN codes r for a work/school monthly discount, nothing else. (maybe some accessory discounts too)

FEATURE codes r an entirely different category... now depending ones market(i.e. north florida or south florida) certain features exist and some dont.

meaning that feature may be available for some, and not others...

 thanks!

END USER acct probly jus means its a personal acct with a biz discount. so in some cases a feature may only be available to a corporate accts under that company's tax ID and not on the end users acct with that corp discount..

not saying this is exactly how it is to the T, jus clarifying a few things if people wonder y they cant "beat the system" lol

EDIT: at work tomorrow i will try and get exact clarification and requirements for this feature.. then i will post.

Actually they are but there not...

I typed this then realized one thing... Simple the OP who said Fan codes simply miss spoke and ment Feature codes... Simple mistake...

The feature codes in question have only been working with FAN account for some time now so as they are different things they are the same category. And the market thing is true and not true as well. Many of the codes that were said to be one are now for both with the merging markets. Please read the past few pages before posting as all of this is covered there...

As long as there is a FAN on the account they can add TMS3 or TMS4 they are for people with FAN's on the acct. I bet my life they can get it. The only reason not is if they are an end user with no FAN even though they think on is there.

Non of the codes discussed to this date in this tread depend on wheather its COR, or END, it is possible as long as there is a FAN on the acct.

True some codes such as CLL2 for univ and college are only for certain FANs and thus are in the contract but not always. Only true way to know is to add it and see if it falls.

This is how I got:

1110 Bonus Minutes Monthly
1500 SMS monthly for 8.99
200 Bonus SMS monthly
N/W at 7pm for $8.99 minus $8 monthly credit making it $0.99/Month
28% Fan Discount

Where theres a will there a way but the FAN is legit dont wanna get reamed by the community on that side LOL.

JUst remember everyone just since things are different doesnt mean there not connected.....

Not all but some reps are idiots... No offense to the reps who are GREAT as many are!!!

TMS4 can be applied as long as theres any FAN on ur account... Call again..

I was able to add the TMS4 code the first time I called. When the rep asked how he could help, I just told him "I would like to add feature code TMS4 to my account". He thanked me for having the code and saving him the trouble of looking it up. He confirmed that it was 1,500 texts for $8.99. He made sure to warn me that it is labelled as business to business texts, but I know everybody on here has already confirmed that it really covers any SMS text messages.
I am wondering though... when somebody sends an iphone user a MMS message and we have to click the link to view it, does this count as receiving an MMS message? I wouldn't think so... but I just want to be sure.

For this one code is CLL2 but only for certain university and college fan codes. If you have a university or college fan on ur acct go ahead call and add it. If it falls off at ur bill cycle forget about it.

If you dont have a college or univ fan dont worry about it..

The .99 for n.w ar 7pm was done by the eer office which is executiveoffice sorry cant help there.

How did you get the Bonus 200 SMS?

No, on iphones there a feature aut attached for no mms so dont worry about it.
