I have 3 lines on the 700 min FamilyTalk plan w/ USPS FAN, I finally got the U200 discount added to my account on all 3 lines..

Question: When do the 200 bonus minutes come into affect ? after the shared 700 are used up ? do they rollover ?

You're regular minutes are used first, then the bonus. The extra minutes do not rollover.

I don't think that is correct. It looks like on my account the bonus minutes are used first, then my monthly minutes. For the last three months my rollover minutes have increased by at least 200 minutes since I have not dipped into my bonus minutes.

The bonus minutes get used first as they do not roll over. Also unless they put the u200 feature on every line, it will only apply to the line the added it to. Therefore the other lines will be utilizing the anytime minutes.
 
I finally managed to add TMS3 on my account, after four calls with Business care.
This thread is very helpful! Kudos to everyone helping and contributing!

I just trying calling in to have the TMS4 1500 text discount added on my FAN company discount and the woman said it was not possible because my company is not paying the bill. Therefore I am a individual account. Does this sound correct?

That is absolutely incorrect. The FAN discount is for individuals who work for companies that have an arrangement with AT&T to provide a discount to their employees for using AT&T.
 
CLARIFING A FEW THINGS LIKE I DO EVERY SO OFTEN.....

1) Bonus Minutes are used before Anytime minutes. Here is the order of minute usage:

- Night and Weekend
- Mobile to Mobile
- Bonus Minutes
- Anytime Minutes
- Rollover Minutes

2) TMS3 and TMS4 can be added to any line with a FAN don't take no for an answer unless you have bonus codes you could loose if they look closly. Esculate to a supervisor or manager of call back you will get it.

3) U200 and all bonus minutes codes are per line not shared.

4) Codes should have no expiration date. If they do the rep added it.

5) CLL2 needs a univ or college FAN and still falls 50% of the time. If you dont have a univ or college FAN dont waste time it will fall off within 1.5 bill cycles. If you do try but dont get pissed when it falls.

Okay think that covers it for now.

I just called in and I got my TMS4 added but a much nicer rep. Thanks for the info!
Well one person told me that my business was not paying for this, the other rep said that the code was only for BB users. WTF? Should I try again?

Yes, because each one of them pretty much fed you a crock of s***.

Your chances might be better later at night, so depending on where you are, you may want to try after 10pm local time.

No idea.... on switching to primary but if you want data it needs to be tied to the line that the phone is on that you want data on. If its Iphone then that line needs the data....

Keep calling for TMS3 youll get it.. Just be persistant!!

You need a FAN to get any codes so check if you can get one.

If you are working, go to an AT&T store and ask if your employer has a contract with AT&T and they could give you a discount.

Same thing goes with students going to universities or colleges.


Once you're set up, on your OLAM you'll see on the top right you're FAN number :)

Pretty much counts me out then-I know the principle of my firm is an AT&T customer, but as far as I can tell, the company does not have a company cell plan. :( Too bad, I had SMS turned off on my account because I refuse to pay 20 cents each or $30 a month (family plan) to receive Spam. For $8 though I might reconsider :)

ok, I got the TMS4 added on. I was too scared to ask for the U200 one. LOL. Maybe later on today.

Thanks SharkzFanz & everyone else for the responses, I checked my account online today and I noticed that my anytime minutes hasnt gone down so thats great (code was added to all 3 lines). I'll be able to build up my rollover minutes now!
 
Just added CLL2 (200 free txts) to my account. I just activated my FAN discount from my college (CSULB). Didn't even know they had it. Rep on the phone didn't have any problem adding the code. Hopefully it sticks. Thanks for the tips.
 
I called Customer Care this morning at 10:30am (im in Michigan), after waiting
on the hold for 12min, lady picked up i gave her my info and told her
"I was with Michigan State University" (im a student there) she verified my FAN account and i told her " I got a memo from HR to add the following promo codes to my account..u200 (200min) and TMS3 she said hold for a sec and grabbed a sheet to verify them and added them.

I was on hold for 12min
Talked to the Lady for 3 min
total time- 15min !now I have 200 free extra min and text mssg on top of my plan!
 
I called twice, first time the operator told me it was an expired code after checking with managers twice.

Second time I got a nice lady who added the TMS4 for me and told me the 1500 texts were for both #'s on my account combined. That isn't right is it?
 
I'm sorry what do you mean?
TMS3 will get you the 250sms for $3.99 I believe, is that what you wanted?
Also consider calling again to have them add u200 for an additional 200min for free :cool:

Oh, yes, this....person...also said that iPhones have special texting plans, separate from other phones. While I know that's true for the DATA plans, I've never heard that about the iPhone. Anybody?

That person fed you a lie. It can be applied, but as already mentioned, you must have a FAN account for that discount to be applied. Plus you need to tell them that this feature code is to replace the existing text plan that comes with the iPhone. So call back, tell them to drop the existing text plan for your iPhone, add this one for your iPhone, and if you got the name of that person that fed you the tale, mention that to them, and let them know that you are not happy with being told something like that to someone who has a Premier account with them.

In short, call them out on their 'note' and see what they did.
