btw, i had no problem doing it. worked on the first call. the agent said it was not the first time she has heard of these but that not everyone qualifies for them even if you are a premiere account.

Why or how was the U200 added, is that an additional 200 texts? I'm going to call and add TMB9 to my family.

As I'm reading through this thread, am I correct in my understand that there is no code for Unlimited Texting? I send about 3,000 per month and could greatly use that.
 
Ok, so my Dad was able to add the TMB9 to his account for 750 texts, we had to call premier directly because the regular representatives had no clue what the codes were even after explaining. My Dad tried to add the TMS4 for 1500 texts to my number but the associate said he wasn't authorized to do so, and to go to an actual AT&T store. His reasoning was that , They NEED proof that you work or attend school, hospital etc.. that your premier account was registered for. But what doesn't make sense is that to get a premier account you have to show proof anyway. So something is messed up with that.

that's the exact answer they gave me. How was your dad able to add it?
 
So, say i have an iPhone and want to add the TMS4 code to my account for 1500 sms messages for $8.99. I am also too lazy to get my FAN number from my employer, as it is a real hassle to get in contact with HR. What should i do, can i just say i don't have it and give the company's name when i call customer care?

The U200 was an additional 200 minutes added to each line (i have two), dont know why, i just read it here and tried it.
 
Just called AT&T/Cingular Premier Customer care and got the TMB9 added to my acct. Only took 2 calls and a total of 7 minutes :D
Yes its a FAN acct.
Yes its a Family Plan acct.
Yes the iPhone is primary phone, NO i didn't have to drop my FAN discount, NO I didn't have to make the other line (regular phone) the primary.
 
Thought I'd bump this up since people might find it useful.

Anyone know if I can use u200 and TMB9 will work on an account with a FAN?

Also, how do you go about getting those? Just call and ask the CSR? When I go to the store, can I just ask them there?
 
I tried TMS4 3 times and no one would let me. I was successful with TMB9 on the 2nd try. This was a couple days ago.
 
I was told "I checked with my manager and those are codes going around on the internet, but we cannot provision your account with those"

Yes both of those codes work on a FAN.

And probably just read some of the pages of this thread with regards to how to get it, some people just called once and asked for it they got it, some people tried a lot, so ymmv. Best way is to call compared to store, unless you're going to a corp store.
 
hey guys does anyone know of a promocode for unlimited text? tms4 is 1500 which a lot of people are having issues with. so im thinking the next best thing is the unlimited one and i was wondering if anyone knew the pricing and code.

So, once we get MMS on the iPhone in a month or two (hopefully...), how will those be treated with these special B2B texting plans? Any ideas?

TMB9 is for SMS, not MMS, even on non-iPhones, I believe. It doesn't include any MMS messages.

Now, over at Ars, they said...
Update: AT&T says that an MMS will be treated as an SMS is today. So basically, one MMS will equal one SMS.

That would make sense if you have one of those "standard" messaging plans. They were the same as for all other phones except that they didn't include MMS for obvious reasons.

So, maybe if we knew how these plans worked on phones that actually supported MMS before (aka almost every other cell phone), we would know how this would work now. Does anyone use this on a non-iPhone? Can you post how AT&T handles MMS with these FAN plans?

I'm hoping, really hoping that they'd consider MMS as a standard messaging count against your text plan for B2B since I only carry the TMB9 messaging plan. I don't want to hassle myself for another MMS feature code.
