Update! I got mine to work. I went into my att and refreshed the signal to my phone, then turned it off and back on.

Yo - same issue - how did you refresh the signal ? I have ATT ELITE plan and only 4g/lte options in cellular data.

After 30 minutes of verifying random items, chat agent is telling me the 5Ge logo means I do have 5G 🤦‍♂️

That's not what that means.

I know..hence the facepalm. My online account shows my device is eligible for an upgrade (it is not, I just financed it) and it also shows my carrier lock has no SIM restrictions. I thought with AT&T, it should always be locked? Something is definitely not right.

5G showed up on mine right after activating but is gone now. I’m not surprised since I’m still on the original iPhone unlimited plan. And it doesn’t matter as I’m about to switch to mint mobile. Was just surprised it showed up initially.

I'm been chatting with AT&T for an hour. I'll report back if they do something to get mine corrected.
Thank you - I refreshed connection multiple times, restarted several times, reset network connection several times....still only 4G/LTE...I hate ATT ELITE....I have 2 phones and 1 watch on my plan, only got 1 phone today so my other phone is 11

Maybe try a new SIM card. The refresh worked on mine first try.

i have the same problem AT&T elite wireless plan (includes 5g). No 5g option on iPhone's cellular menu. With att rep we have tried resending signal, resetting network (on iphone) and several restarts. They are escalating the problem and...maybe in a week...it will be fixed. I'd be really unhappy except that I mostly use WiFi at home where I'm stuck anyway. But my city apparently does have 5g (the slow one anyway) and I'd like to play with it.

edited to confirm that I am using an e-sim, no physical sim is in phone right now.

What’s this BS about 5 or 6 lines. My wife and each have a line so that’s two.

So you have to have 5 Lines to get 5G? That makes no sense.

What are you referring to?

Do you have to actually be sitting in a 5G area for the 5G options to appear?

I contacted AT&T. They set it up for me. I now see 5G in the options. I live in downtown Charlotte, but my speeds are 30 mbps down lol
