Late to the party …

T-Mobile has pissed me off.

Back to AT&T again…preordered the Blue Pro Max for hubby and the black pro max for myself ( we wanted natural and white, but the ship date was further out and we didn’t want to wait )

Does ATT do an "upgrade" or activation fee when getting a new phone? I went through my preorder kind fast this morning and was "half awake". Thought i remembered seeing a $30 charge (outside the $40 something in tax)

For two phones mine was 70$ but mine was a new account

Nothing crazy… I joined two years ago. Nothing has ever been correct with my plan my phones my account … after countless phone calls it never gets fixed. I talked to 3 different people and 2 supervisors about my account to get it corrected before today, they each assured me if would get fixed. It’s fixed and you’re fine. Friday comes around. Nothing is fixed. I’ve never talked to a cell phone company so much in my entire life…….

I had a rough experience this morning. I usually always order through AT&T because it's been so easy and reliable the past few years, but it wouldn't work! I was logged into my account, but it wasn't showing the option to upgrade a line and was trying to add a new line. Tried apple but couldn't even get into the site and when I did, the shipping time has already shipped to late October. FINALLY at about 8:22, AT&T started working and I was able to get my order on.

Pro max 256gb natural titanium. It's showing a ship date of the 21st, so 🤞
 
Anyone get a notification during the pre-order that they would be sent a link to verify identity. I never received this link but customer service said the order went through and they don’t need to verify.

Should I expect the order to be canceled? Right now the order detail says estimated ship on the 21st.

I am on AT&T due to having a discount thru a friend and my experience with them is so bad so frequently that I often consider eating the extra few hundred in incentives just to never deal with them again. Their systems crash when ordering, fail to transfer lines when upgrading, I've had their store reps cram my elderly mother with extra fees, I had an online rep cram me by failing to cancel a line when transferring service on my iPad ... the list goes on and on.

Now I'm finding out that AT&T retroactively locked all phones on installment to the account that the phone is being used on, so I can't even give this phone to a relative and buy the new iPhone. Disgusting corporate behavior.

Yes.

if you use the att app, keep an eye on your order, it will ask you submit your ID, you will have 24 hours to do it.
 
There’s a scratch on the front glass of my 12PM and a lighter one on the back, will that disqualify me by any chance? No cracks or chips on the device, just normal wear and tear.

Ah not locked to individual account only locked to the AT&T Network until the device is fully paid off on any installment plan. Then it can be unlocked for any compatible carrier.

First time pre ordering through atts app today. Ordered at the end of the day, picked up a 256gb nat Ti pro max. Coming from a 12pro so I'm nervous about the size jump.

Also the AT&T APP shows the phone will ship next Friday yet everything else shoes a potential delivery date of 10/13-10/27

I’m a new customer to att. And it told me that as well. However, I don’t actually have an account setup yet… it was supposed to send it to me by email it said. But nothing has come yet. And then used the chat feature to speak with someone and they said it wasn’t needed now. Now I’m worried.

Update: I got the email. Waiting on verification confirmation I hope.

This was a brand new account we set up when we ordered the 2 phones.

My wife sent in a picture of her photo ID as requested.

There is no way to “track” if everything is okay. Anyone with any experience with this? Think we will be okay? Or should we expect a delay?

It should be fine for full trade in credit, unless the scratch is really bad.

We are in the same boat. Just got my email, I’m waiting as well with a new account.
