AT&T - iPhone 3G on Backorder for 5-7 Days.

mine switched all day yesterday....still nothing.

And if u ordered it monday, i believe there will be quite a few angry people that yours ships [if it does] before everyone who ordered 3 days before you. not that its your fault, but angry with the system lol.
 
Could be that the orders I'm looking at are at a different warehouse.

Out of about 30 orders only about 3 are not 0 backorder.

And yes Freight is still a 1
 
Just checked my order and I have a tracking number and will be at the store tomorrow(July 16). I ordered a Black 16 Gb on 7/11 at 12:52 in Madison Heights, MI

Me too!!

Weird thing is there's a good amount of people before me that didn't get theirs shipped yet. I feel for them... but it sure makes me a LOT happier. Either there weren't that many people that ordered 16GB whites here or they just fulfilled them randomly.
 
i think the ATT system is all messed up. when i spoke to my local store earlier they said the online status of my two 16gb black iphones was wrong (because it said backordered and my credit card was charged), and that i was getting mine tomorrow (july 16th) either at noon or 4pm

Say your order number is 214334. If you change the number to 214223 in the address bar then it will show you the status of the person before you. Just keep changing the last number or two numbers down or you can change it up and see if anyone behind you has theirs shipped.
 
the order number i got in the email from AT&T has letters in it and is pretty long.....and when i type in my phone # to check the status the ordeer number under my name is 6............:confused:

The order number I got sent in the email is not what I used. I did the Order ID on the store receipt and THEIR ZIP code.
 
Even after reading through all the problems you guys have had in this thread I (against my better judgment) went into AT&T and ordered one up via DF today. The iPhone has been out of stock here in St. Louis so far this week and to be honest I couldn't be bothered with getting up early and waiting in line at an Apple Store that's an hour away from where I live. So I figured I'd just wait it out and get it once it eventually comes into the AT&T store. We shall see. I haven't gotten an email yet and I also ordered the black 16 gb. Keeping my fingers crossed. The dude at the store told me that it'd probably take 4-5 business days based on the fact that "people who had ordered on Friday were getting theirs today." I have a feeling it'll be much longer tho. We'll see. At least I don't have to put forth a lot of extra energy trying to track it down. I can wait a bit. ;)
 
my 16gb black iphone has switched from back-ordered to both frt and phone ordered as "1". Hopefully it ships tmrw! Ordered it on Friday at a local at&t store.
 
Woo hoo!!! My iPhone and Freight no longer say backordered. they say 0. So Since the freigh even says it i'm hoping it ships today. That would be amazing.
 
I just posted this on the other thread...

this is kind of entertaining in a sick way...before you get mad a me...yes, i am still waiting too...here are some interesting stats from my AT&T store. I am only looking at friday (7/11) orders...if someone that ordered after me gets theirs before me, I dont wanna know about it anyway....

71 DF orders from my store on Friday
33 of those have shipped
38 of those havent shipped
7 of the ones that havent shipped say the freight is backorder and the phone isnt
31 of the ones that havent shipped say nothing is back ordered

I am in the group of 7 that say the freight is backordered

I am assuming that the 33 that shipped were either 8gb or 16gb white and that the 38 that havent shipped are 16gb black...who knows...kind of fun to hypothesize though

By the way, thanks to the guy who made the "screen-scraper" I never would have looked in to it this in depth if he hadnt made it so easy​

Picked up my 16gb black that I ordered Friday! I got the backorder email, worried that would be a long delay, but then I got an email saying it was at the store and went over. The guys there were a little annoyed that I hadn't waited for my "sales consultant" to call me to tell me that the phone was in stock. Apparently they are on commission and had to do some thing to access my order, possibly denying the original sales person his commission.

I want my phone, don't expect me to wait another day or two until "my" salesperson is in the store.
 
Order 16GB black from att on monday.

It switched sometime this morning to 0 for iPhone, 1 for frieght.

I assume its waiting to be picked up now.

yea, they did.

I wonder if ill get it this week, no worries if not. I for one was NOT going to wait in a crummy line. Im sure they were fun with all the people, but i dont do lines for electronics.
