Phone shipped
Ok, today is a beautiful day. My phone finally shipped from Memphis, TN to Dallas, TX overnight and is expected to be delivered on 7/21/2008 - Monday by 3pm.
Here is the summary of my ride.
DF order on 7/11 at 11am CST (16gb Black)
CC charged same day full amount
Email sent same day - phone on back order
Every day between 7/11 and now the online Bingo of "1" and "0"
Checked the order status today and it shipped today at 9pm
No email that it shipped
Another hold for the same amount on my account
Will let you know on Monday if the phone made it.

just curious, did you notice that other phones shipped and yours still showed B/O?
At&t store told me that yesterday, too but the phone apparently shipped in one day. Maybe they just say that just in case.
excellent.. i figured it was a buffer.... the at&t store had all these we have iphone 3g in stock signs all over...apparently this meant in stock, in a warehouse somewhere 20 days away.
i'm putting my order in this week, we'll see how it goes
Still waiting, ordered mine last Saturday and it's still "In Progress". I hope I can get it before college starts. I ordered 1 black 16gb.
So Peoed - Should Have Ordered Again in White
Just ran the script this evening and some guy who ordered on the 18th (White 16G) had it shipped on the 19th.....one @#$% day. Still waiting from the 13th. Went in on Thursday and spoke to the mgr about doing the same thing (cancelling my order and ordering a 16G white). If I did, I would have my phone by now. Sorry but had to vent when I saw this. BTW...his order was the only one that has shipped since the 17th. Ticked in Tampa!

The very first DF order from my zipcode (on 7/11) just shipped 7/19. I don't know if there was something up with that order, but it was the last one out from opening day as far as I can tell. Sucks for that guy.
What exactly is apple and at&t doing? A person who came the same day as me got their phone shipped, and two people after me got their phones shipped. Like I don't understand the process of fulfilling orders.
I'm mad that there is a lot of iphones on ebay if these people didnt buy it and resold them there would not be a waiting list.

Just letting you all know that I checked the website and it shows my phone being shipped, but I have not got an official email saying it has. I was told when it shipped I would get an email. I was also told that when it arrived at the at&t store that they would call me. I should probably not count on that either. It says my phone is to be there by 3pm. I guess I will be making phone calls throughout the day checking in. Not much else you can do.

I've seen that many people on here didn't get their email until the next morning. I wouldn't count on it, because some have said they didn't get one, but they may not have given their contact information to AT&T.
Is the only way to get a 3G is by ordering it? Are they still selling them at the stores or no? I check the Apple website and every store in California has no stock. So are they just fulfilling the orders or what? I wouldn't mind going to my Apple Store before opening to start a line but I also don't want to look like an idiot when I get in there and all they are doing is orders.
