I ordered a black 16gb iphone on july 11th around 10:30 am and it finally shipped on last friday and due by 3:00pm tommarrow YES THERE IS A GOD !!!!!!!

Wouldn't it be SO disheartening to have waited this long (well you've only been waiting 3 days... I've been waiting 8 which seems like an eternity!) and your phone comes with some flaw like a light leak, negative black screen, chips or something else? I'd die. (I know it's just a phone but bear with me here
)Even if AT&T had 3,600 black 16gb phones come into the warehouse there are roughly 1800 AT&T stores in the USA. That would only give us 2 phones per store.

We need AT&T to get about 60,000 black 16GB iPhones to make a serious dent in the DF backorders.
I ordered 2 8GB ones in winston-salem NC on Friday 7/18, site says in progress and there are 85 orders in front of mine. Last one that shipped was for an order that was placed on 7/11, so I wonder when I will get any notification of the order, or of it shipping. Either way... the wait is on.

My 16gb black iPhone that was ordered on 7/11 at about 12:00 CST has shipped. Should be able to pick it up at the store tomorrow.
AT&T made good on the 7-10 business days and I finally get my new toy. Happy waiting to the rest of you and best of luck with your shipping.

There are multiple warehouses (not sure how many). I know there is one in Fort Worth, TX and one in Memphis, TN at the very least. Tracking the shipments for my store, orders have been coming from both places, so I don't know if each store is linked to a certain warehouse(s).

I ordered 2 8GB ones on Friday 7/18(Winston-Salem NC store) and mine still says "in progress" I am like #76 inline so I am really hoping to get it by Friday, but we'll see. I really don't mind the waiting, IMO better then sitting in line for hours and hours and hours.

with the order id/confrimation, use the last 5 digits of that number, and with the zipcode, use the zipcide of the store you ordered from, not where you live, it should show up that way
or you can also just use the contact number you gave the at&t rep when you ordered the phone, along with the zipcode of the store again

has anyone gotten theirs shipped without the site being updated? like has the site been delayed and they've gotten a shipping e-mail while it still says backorder?

I ordered two 8GB iPhones at the same time. On one of them the site was about 2 hours late to update to "Shipped", on the other one it was about 12 hours late to show that it had shipped. (Checking the Fedex tracking website confirmed this)
Wow, ordered on Friday (7/18) and just this morning I got my Order Acknowledgment. Seems like there is some kinda delay in the process somewhere.
Maybe I should have ordered the 16GB white one, seems like they are the first to go out, or less in demand right now.

If yu look at the top of the Direct Fulfillment receipt you got, it says "Store No. ____" , and then if you look at the "Order I.D." (after the credit card junk) the first numbers/letters are that of the store number, followed by a zero, then your order number starts. Usually it's 5 numbers, but it varies from store to store.
So like my Store No. is Q545 , my Order I.D. says Q545029011 so my order number is 29011.

When should i expect the phone. i did the same for a white phone got it in 2 days my wife got lucky. i also ordered 4 more for my kids. i am the only one who did not get it what a bummer i spend $1200 on phones and i get nothing.(LOL)
