AT&T - iPhone 3G on Backorder for 5-7 Days.

I ordered my 2 black 16gig Monday at noon (1 for me, 1 for my wife) and they've both been backordered since yesterday afternoon with no change. They were supposedly #1 and #2 in the queue line before the system was closed down. Hopefully they ship today.

Monday the 21st? If so, you're probably not seeing them for a while (as everyone has said, 10-21 days from the order date). There are people who ordered within the first week from realease who haven't gotten their black 16GB models yet. I'm sure AT&T is shipping by what order number you are in their system, not the stores.

the waiting....

I ordered 16G Black on the 15th, backordered = 0 for the last 15 hours. I wish I was getting paid for each time I checked the status.

Tell me about it.

As of yesterday morning, there was one order from my store ahead of me, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't for a 16Gb black. It was the last 9/13 order. I was the 2nd 9/14 order, first for a 16G black, placed at 10:05 am.

Then yesterday afternoon the order status comes off of backorder and has been there all night (never seen that before!). Then I hear someone else with a 9:30am 9/14 order says theirs has shipped.

How close can you get. Probably better not to know.
 
I also have been off of backorder for better than 12 hours now. The only other time I know I was off of backorder it only lasted a few hours. I ordered mine the afternoon of 7/17, so I'm still really not expecting mine until next week but it would be great if I had it this weekend.
 
Anyone else having an issue with AT&T's order status page right now?

I went to check my status and it can no longer find my order...

You're order probably isn't missing.. they've just disable the ability to query based on order number. You'll have to try home/contact number or mobile device number.

So, the order status thing really isn't that accurate.

It's not accurate though, because you can only check up to 50 orders before yours, unless you put in another number in the address bar after you select 50 and the page comes up. The simple queue was made for people who couldn't figure out the regular one.

The simple queue shows I'm number 35, but the full queue shows I'm number 49. Don't give yourself any fals hope using the simple queue.
 
im now number 2 in queue for the 15th date....number 8 including the few that havent shipped for the 14th....and plus my back order number has been at 0 for the past couple of hrs, hopefully today is my day.

I ordered on the 22nd, I still havnt recieved an email? is that not normal? But I can check the status on ATT
 
i think they send you an email if you gave them your email and contact info when you ordered the phone, or if you're already an customer with them.

i never gave them mines so all im waiting for is a phone call like the rep told me
and still checking my order status​
 
I went from 102 in the list yesterday to 72 today. At least they are moving in the right direction. And with how long back-order is staying 0, maybe i will have it by Monday of next week. Well one can hope... :D

I did give it to them but, I guess its no biggie. I ordered a 16gb white (22nd), and mine has not shipped. I saw some people saying it was shipping the same day or the day after.. I am getting a little worried.:confused:
