AT&T - iPhone 3G on Backorder for 5-7 Days.

Almost there

Ordered 8gig on 7/18 moved up to 13 in the que. My store has been getting orders in pretty steady lately so hopefully early this week it should ship.🙂 But I have noticed that the hold that was once on my cc is back so don't know what that means.
 
I just got a new 16gig 3G phone from our brand new Apple store that just opened up today. They had at least 100 phones. I was given a hard time by AT&T trying to cancel my direct fulfillment order and don't know if they actually did it. Has anyone else been able to cancel their order because they were able to pick one up at an Apple store? What is the process you used?

Verify through AT&T customer service that you can cancel the order, and then if your AT&T store is still giving you a hard time, call your bank and put a block on AT&T so they can't charge you for the phone. If that doesn't work, I'm sure you could put up a 1-2 day bid on Ebay and actually sell it for profit (your lure being that you will overnight it the day the bid is closed).
 
FINALLY!

Just received shipping confirmation and it will be to the AT&T store on Monday 😀

Now I just need to figure out a good way to protect it.

interesting the ipod launched in october of 2001 and will be having its 7th birthday this coming october, yet some how you went 10 years with one?
 
mine shipped!! i noticed on the VP website that df is shipping 25 units to my store, it looks like they are maintaining enough stock to make demand

well.. i ordered a 8gb:apple: on the 21th and im now #75 in line.... when do you think ill get mine?😱

Mine shipped today!!! 16GB Black ordered 7/16 at about 1330. Waycross, GA.

Today is exactly 10 days from purchase, so I'll get in on the 28th, 9 business days from order. I was quoted 7-10 days, not hopeful at first, but it looks like ATT is finally getting stock.


They are coming, looks like maybe ATT underestimated how popular this phone would be and is now playing catchup. But they are catching up. Good luck to the rest of ya'll.

For information sake: I was still backordered this AM, checked this AM and my card was charged again, but still on backorder. Just checked and now it's shipped. No e-mail yet.

OK, so I ordered my B16GB on 16JUL08. As of this morning (Saturday, 25JUL08) there is a pending charge associated with the iphone on my account (my pending charges don't normally clear until monday). I am currently #1 in the queue, and I currently have 1 listed for Backorder on both freight and phone. Everyone remotely near me in the queue (before and after) have all been shipped.

Three phones have listed shipping departures to my store for today, with package data transmitting around 0800-0900 and shipping out of Forth Worth, TX.

I checked my store's history to see if they had any shipments sent out last Sunday (20JUL08). They had three listed as 20JUL, of which one actually was shipped 19JUL, while the other two were actually shipped at 0300 on 21JUL08.

So my question is, does anyone have any insight as to whether my phone will be shipped out today or if I have to wait until monday? 😛 It would be mad nice to be able to pick up my phone after my flight lesson on monday, so I can play around with it before studying for my next lesson ;-)

It still may ship today especially if they're about to charge your credit card, i've noticed some orders have changed overnight to shipped.

I didnt notice any sunday shipments at my store, today there were several iphones shipped and now i'm #9 in line, my only guess is the AT&T warehouse must have received a huge shipment of iphones hopefully more 16GB's in black in which im waiting for mine.

I would say there is a really good chance. I ordered on the 16th, was still on backorder this AM, got charged, then later noticed it had shipped. keep the faith. if not today, maybe tomorrow. either way, it will get there on monday.
 
Last weekend's shipments were all priority overnight via FedEx, so there were some Saturday and Sunday deliveries I believe. Now however, the phones are shipping via standard overnight, not priority, so I don't think there are phones arriving on the weekends anymore. I think Apple is fulfilling more orders per day too so people aren't waiting as long. The priority overnights from last weekend were fulfilling launch day and weekend orders I believe.

The store I ordered from, Cary, NC, definitely got a couple phones in earlier today.
 
Will it ship on sunday?

Currently number 1 and 2 in line for iphone.... 10 at night and still hasn't shipped. Will it ship tomorrow? Arrive Monday?
