Every 8GB that was ordered on 7/18 at my store was shipped today. There were only 3, but thats still good news for me since I ordered on the 19th 
As of Thursday morning, I was in the low 50s. This is for a black 16gb in Cary, NC ordered on 7/16. Like you, I jumped a whole lot Thursday and Friday but it slowed down a little this weekend. I'm hoping it will pick back up tomorrow! I'm ready to get this thing.

Dumb question probably, but how did you know that every 8gb for your store was shipped?
I am up to 28th place. Considering being late tomorrow to swing by the Apple store.
From past experience, does anyone think they can guess when I should get my phone from DF? Any stories on how fast you moved up after a weekend?

Next time your backorder status goes to '0', check a lot of the orders before you. If some are listed as '1', then they didn't order the same thing as you. Thats basically it, you can't do it right now because both 8GB and 16GB are listed as backordered.

I see I am 28th on the official list and all...I jumped up a ton lately, and hoping I will move up a bunch in the morning.
I wouldn't exactly call it an official list.
I'd say it depends on what you ordered. If it was an 8, I'd say it'll be shipped tues or wed. If it's a black 16, sometime next week.
It was an 8gb. If it is shipping this week, I won't waste my morning tomorrow going to the apple store to try to get one. If it is gonna be more than another week, I would probably waste my time at the apple store!!!

It's a guess. If half ahead of you are 8gb and half are 16gb, then you are ~#14 in the queue for and 8gb model. If AT&T ships 4-6 8gb per day, that makes you Wednesday. I ordered my 8gb on the 16th and went to sleep on the 24th at #40 with it still on backorder. Woke up with it off backorder and checked it a few hours later to see it had shipped.
Check my store's queue to see where I was. 18702 was the first order and I am order 18984. I don't know how accurate it is compared to your store, since it looks like my store made quite a few more orders than yours too.

Thanks for the info. I am guessing all the ones after me are white phones, and there must still be quite a few black 16 gb ones ahead of me. I am up to 28, and I will see where I sit after tomorrow. Hoping I have a huge boost up, and can have it by weeks end.
Forgot to mention, I was ~#40 when I went to sleep Thursday night and I think I was #38 or #28 when I woke up.

I am guessing the ones dropping off the list now for me are 8 gb phones, so worst case scenario for me is that I am listed at 27th, but the top 7 are probably 16 gb black at this point, so I am within the top 20, maybe in the next 10 or so depending on how many of the 8-26 ahead of me took the 16 gb black.
Must be special arrangements for AT&T i looked on my stores list and i didnt see any past sunday shipments, the AT&T warehouse must be pushing the iphones out as fast as possible.
They might operate on Sundays, but I don't think you can actually send out a shipment on Sunday. Mine was sent out Friday.
The point of my post was that it's scanned as arriving at Newark twice, 11:08am and 4:31pm.
I must say, through all the bitching I've been doing... to myself and family (never called att or apple) they really did come through on thier word.
I ordered on 7/15 and I was told 7-10 business days. It really felt like it took forever, but it shipped on 7/25 and will arrive on 7/28. That's 9 business days. So hopefully I can pick it up tomorrow and everything will be cool.
Oh, and btw, my card was charged about 24 hours before it showed it was shipping.

I find this strange about being billed when it ships. Mine will arrive at the att store tomorrow and I still have not been billed.
It doesnt really matter. around 11 or so I will know the status of the order from Fedex. ..
I'm in Reno too. I've been waiting for my DF from the Keitzke store, number 33 on the list right now. Launch day was crazy at that store.
i am currently 28th in my line! i jumped up about 7 spots today! hoping i will have it by thursday or friday!!
