AT&T - iPhone 3G on Backorder for 5-7 Days.

Someone please explain the following to me:

Yesterday, a sunday, 3 phones were shipped to my store.

Today, a monday (11:08pm, so the day is over), 0 phones have been shipped.

It probably has a lot to do with the outage they are experiencing. I am betting they have phones coming in today and tomorrow, but the screen just is not updating. I am sure once the system comes up, they will start to contact people as well.

You can't go back in line. What happened is you thought you moved up when you didn't. If you see that you have moved up, look through all the names before you to see if any of them say "No order # found". That means the person might be in line but the queue isn't counting it. Just hit refresh and it should take care of the problem (sometimes it just keeps doing it though).
 
THEY HAVEN'T SHIPPED ALL DAY!?!? ajhelkjrhakdf df FAIL.... i would be ******** blood if i was #1 in the queue.......

"When the second-generation iPhone comes out this fall, we want iPhone users to feel not just jealous, but downright foolish for owning such laughably primitive technology." Jobs also hinted that the second iPhone device would not be compatible with existing Mac computers, third-party peripherals, or any future Apple products.

I know, that was what the smilies were for!!

Sucks staying at the same spot with no phones "going out" for 24 hours. Really sucks because I can't go to the Apple store. Teach me for having a discount on my plan for where I work!!!! :D

Exact same situation here haha. There's an apple store right underneath my att store in the mall!!! I'm thinking that hopefully a lot of phones DID ship out today and maybe the system just isn't showing it because of the problems they had with their computers today. Hopefully at least.

They had to have shipped out today. I am sure all the info comes from ATT, and if their system went down, that would explain the issues we are seeing.

I am guessing, God willing that their system is up tomorrow (anyone hear if they got it fixed yet?), then we will see a mass update come thru.

I may call my store to see if they got any shipments in....they had to have gotten them in.

i agree..there is no way that a prouct with such demand could skip a whole day of shipping but then again i could be wrong..but i am thinking the same thing once the system gets up and running again we should see a whole bunch of orders that went through today and we should move up in the line!
 
can anyone tell me how to check my place in place in line.

i wish that i would of waited to purchase my iphone so that i could of just gone to the apple store and got one. if i dont get my iphone before the 8th of august, i think that i will have to start the whole process over which would be the worst thing ever.

im going to college and i want my phone before i go.

so again can anyone tell me how to check my place in line
 
MY PHONE SHIPPED LAST NIGHT!!!!!! That's a 16GB Black ordered on 7/16. I'll be picking up after 3 today!
 
I see one phone ahead of me shipped last night. Still unsure if it is the 8 gb black that is shipping and the ones above are 16 gb black, but eager to see. Getting closer to me again!

If it was a black 8gb that shipped, then I am only, at most, 17 away from getting mine shipped. Still not moving up much, still at 26th!!

I was buying my iPhone yesterday and this prima donna dad next to me was picking up his 4 iPhones for his family. I talked to him a bit: his 2 kids, 10 and 11, are getting iPhones...really, what's the point?

Why spoil kids, honestly? Having the best phone when you're 11 really leaves nothing to look forward to and nothing to earn.
