I thought the limit was 3 iphones?
No clue, cause his name shows up 7 times in a row!!!
I thought the limit was 3 iphones?
I was buying my iPhone yesterday and this prima donna dad next to me was picking up his 4 iPhones for his family. I talked to him a bit: his 2 kids, 10 and 11, are getting iPhones...really, what's the point?
Why spoil kids, honestly? Having the best phone when you're 11 really leaves nothing to look forward to and nothing to earn.

You get to look forward to the next best phone.

Heh, nobody needs an iPhone. People just want one. I'd say most people would get by just fine on any phone that texts and makes calls. Hell, SMS wasn't even popular until 2000, only 8 years ago. Everyone got by on just regular phone calls before that, even craaazy business people. So sure, an iPhone is nice to have for a business person to check their email and stuff, but at the end of the day, they need one just as much as that 11 year old. And I know some 11 year olds who text and email on their phones a whole lot more than my dad, who has a BB, and works with a pretty nice title for Nike.
Not whining at all. I am glad my parents didn't hand over the world to me when I was a kid...I think I respect the things I have more now because of it. From my experience, kids who are always given what they want always expect what they want, and that is where the issue is.
I will agree that there are 11 year olds out there that are going to get more use out of this phone than probably 50% of the adults who have it. But it is just a parenting aspect, not a complaining because they have it. You will understand more when you have kids of your own.
Being fairly homosexual, I doubt whether or not I'll ever have kids, but that's not the pointI do see where your parenting aspects are coming from, I just think that another parenting aspect would be that it would be good for the kid. Parents want their kids to have cell phones now, so they can keep in touch with them easily. Hell, my mom learned how to text when I went to university cause I couldn't pick up my phone that often. Getting your kid an iPhone instead of a Razr or something makes it good for you (You can keep in touch with them more easily when they're out and about with friends) and it's also a gift for them, a sort of treat. It's like a gift for 2 people in 1.

the dude at my store said that the black 16's have been coming in without any problems within 3-5 days. i'm guessing that was a lie...
I ordered a black 16g on 7/17 from an ATT store in NYC. The queue up to my order indicates that there are about 9 of us still waiting, and many of the orders post 7/17 have been filled.
It's beginning to feel like a dream....![]()
