The 2 are now at my freaking store! The other one is off of backorder so I hope it ships today and we'll be able to get all of them tomorrow.
Yeah. Mine did that too. I've seen that happen a few times since I ordered it. Hopefully the next time it'll ship.
They shipped my phone today and it will be here sometime tomorrow! Problem is, I'm going out of town tomorrow. Couldn't get a hold of anyone in the store. Does anybody know how long they will hold my phone and will they return it if I'm not back by that time to get it?

also just checked my status and it is listed as back order=0 right now
pretty sure it is 7 days. i'd call them though if you are going to be gone more than 7 incase they can hold it for you. maybe they get it in early in the morning before you leave too?
You could try giving your receipt to a friend and have them pick it up for you, just call ahead to let them know your friend is coming by. Maybe that'll work ;-)
had the same problem... went away for a few weeks after mine came in.. they might ship it to me though... (strangely enough)

I ordered it Friday July 25th in the late afternoon (5:30ish) and I was queue #72 or something when I checked. When the tracker went down for good I was #40 or so (and that was a few days ago) so it seems like they've been shipping a lot at my store.
What I'm upset about though is that I can't find the film screen protector they sell at the Apple Store at all! I called one and the guy cut me off as I was asking and said, "Yes we have tons". I go into the store and they don't have a single one. *******. I wanted to have my case and my protector ready and plastic gloves so there wouldn't be a fingerprint on the phone

yay it shipped finally should be here tomorrow even though its shipping from Texas to NY it took like 8 business days..ordered the friday the 25th...cannot wait to get it. Such a hassle ><

A friend of mine just got his 16GB Black iPhone 3G this past Friday from a AT&T store in Columbus, Ohio. It took 2 weeks to the day from when he ordered it at the store.
So your saying I don't have to call Verizon to cancel my phone service after I get my number ported over to AT&T?

On the Order Status Page on AT&T's website for the iPhone 3G I ordered it says...
For FRT: Status=In Progress, QTY Ordered=1, QTY Shipped=0, QTY Backordered=1
For Phone: Status=In Progress, QTY Ordered=1, QTY Shipped=0, QTY Backordered=0
What is FRT? Based on the above is there any indication how long it will take to ship the phone?
I ordered my white 16 gb iphone the 31st. Yesterday my status was updated to shipped and I went to the fedex site. It said the estimated delivery date was today by 3pm. The only activity on the fed ex site is this

fedex stats goes by when barcode is scanned, could still be in transit and will be scanned next time it hits fedex hub/offices
When you port your number, it automatically cancels your contract with your previous provider. The only thing I called about was my ETF, which I got cut in half.
No way to tell based on that. FRT is freight, shipping for your phone. When that goes to 0, you phone will be shipped soon, or already has shipped.
What day did you order your phone, and which model?
