**AT&T iPhone 4 Order Status Thread**

Hope by this evening I will show arrival at Newark and then in a truck for delivery tomorrow at some point. Usually it goes to some place in Brooklyn first from Newark.

Sounds like a ton of people are getting phones tomorrow so activating could get hairy.

My tracking number is also a 40863xxxx number, says shipped on 6/17, i ordered on the 15th at 1030am, had email confirmation immediately following, and received email confirmation of shipment last night from AT&T at 1142pm.

Lol I see that!! But the only real thing I'm upset is that my order went through at 5:01am on AT&T after an hour trying through apple. I could have used that sleep!!

Totally agree. I know it is a cool piece of gadgetry and I love gadgets almost as much as I love my family, but I seriously doubt anybody's life depends on this. Now if this was the cure for cancer, then I would totally get on the desperation bandwagon.
 
Finally moved out of back-ordered around 2:30 PM CST. No tracking number or carrier information yet...

Was your tracking number working, or inactive?
Mine's been inactive since I got it over 36 hours ago, I know I'm impatient and should just wait, but I really do wish I knew if it was coming TOMORROW or not so I'd know when I need to be home to sign for it, since I'm not really looking to meet up with a FedEx truck after work either of these nights.

What number have you been calling?
 
mine left Ft Worth at 6 am this morning and arrived at the Memphis Fedex at noon... Still slated for delivery tomorrow by 4:30....

For those with delivery slated for tomorrow... What's the consensus? Think it will really be tomorrow or will they be held at local distros for delivery on Steve's launch date? Seems I remember in the past that this same thing happened.. early deliveries that got held so they could be on the official launch date....

am i the only friggin person on here that preordered before dawn and still on backorder???

this is getting completely ridiculous. ATT - i can wait its not the end of the world, just give me a goddam clue as to if its actually coming so i dont have to sit here like a freaking idiot

I ordered around 4:30pm, still no shipping info and off of backorder
 
here is my info if it helps anyone stay calm :)

Ordered - 6/15, Around 8pm at ATT.com
Confirmation Received - 6/15 around 10pm
Checked Order Status - 6/21 - Shipped - Fedex Tracking # but no update on tracking info
Shipping email received - 6/22 AM
Checked tracking info - On its way from Ft. Worth, TX for delivery tomm 6/23.
 
The funny thing is, that if no one had access to the internet - everyone would just sit (albeit filled with anticipation) quietly until Thursday when their iPhones arrived. Or be pleasantly surprised when they arrived Wednesday...

Instead everyone works themselves up into a frenzied panic because their status says something different then someone elses', or their order number looks different, or their tracking info is different....etc..

Seriously folks, relax - your phone is coming...Go be with your family, I'm sure they miss you...

I started trying to order at 630am (Eastern) on apple.com, I had absolutely NO luck there, so the only way that I was even able to ensure that I received one release day was to sign up for a brand new account on att.com/wireless, since I'm currently on a family plan under my mom's name, so now when I get the phone I just have to activate it as a new line on our family plan, BUT i have to utilize the 2gb data plan instead of my unlimited, and I have to cancel my current line on july 11th when my contract is up.

What a mess. But I don't mind changing my number/ the data plan, because I'm definitely getting a phone this week haha.

Where are you located at? I'm in Pennsylvania. looks like our phones might be traveling together from the AT&T warehouse if tracking numbers are to be believed.

Exactly the same feeling. Ordered at 4:27a CDT and no dice. I wish they would just give us a clue!

if no one had any access to the internet it wouldn't matter since there wouldn't be anything to do with the phone. other than that awesome point.
 
Anyone else waiting for an ATT Order Status Screen that says:

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, STOP REFRESHING THE DAMN STATUS!!!

You're iPhone4 will safely arrive before the 24th!!!!!!
 
Just called FedEx!!

Super nice lady, told her that my tracking number was not bringing up data on the website and she looked it up for me. According to her my iPhone will deliver at the AT&T store tomorrow and she went on to say that the website will update the orders for these shipments tonight!

I eBayed my 3GS on the date of the WWDC, what an uber FAIL. Got a decent price but I have been using a Sony POS since then. Must have brain back, must have brain back.......:apple:
 
My iPhone is scheduled to be here tomorrow by 3pm. Not sure how I should be getting considering I ordered around 4:18pm EST from the regular website. My tracking number begins with 43878XXXXXXX.
