**AT&T iPhone 4 Order Status Thread**

FWIW. I'm in Batavia, about 40 miles west of Chicago. The last item on the FedEx tracking site says it arrived at 11:30pm last night in Chicago at the destination sort facility. When I called and spoke with FedEx a few moments ago, they said it had been put on a truck from Chicago to Aurora, where it will go out to the drivers today. They said it should still get here today, but due to the late sorting, the time frame may be as late as 5:00pm. I don't know whether this will come to fruition or not...
I can understand it backing it up, but at this point id say take it with a grain of salt, the packages would of left the expressways in enough time. It only started raining here real hard in the last 40 mins.

I made the same order for my current family plan, 16gb and 32gb. I received the tracking # on Sunday, but the # just posted today.

Thanks for trying to make me feel better Fire! Im debating on taking an actual vacation day tomorrow for this crap. Im actually working from home today but I can only do that once a week.
I am waiting in downtown Chicago too. Was worried when nothing showed up this morning on the tracking but the site updated to left fort worth at 3:41am, I'm assuming all the tracking is DELAYED since i didn't see this till 7:30am.
Hopefully we get ours today but man the storms look pretty bad. I would think it's just traffic that trucks have to deal with.
Just checked traffic, pretty bad (then again this is Chicago)... I would hope Fedex knows to avoid I-290 since it's under construction and a lot of ramps/lanes are closed

Fedex.com told me my phone is still in the sorting facility in franklin, MA as of 12:13 AM, simpletrackign says it left the fedex ramp at 4:34 AM.

Mine is on the UPS truck and ready for delivery. Can't wait. I ordered from the AT&T website late in the day on June 15th. On the website it said my order was placed on June 16th. Yesterday I received a tracking number and when I woke up this morning UPS had it listed as out on the truck for delivery.

My order seems to be following the same general order as everyone else.....
Ordered and 32GB on the 15th at 11:33am, got confirmation instantly
On the 16th around 5pm pst, it showed up on the fulfillment order status screen, but backordered along with the pre-authorization charge from AT&T
No movement until yesterday the 22nd, when my backorder flag went from '1' to '0' at 12:45pm PST.
Today, still no shipping tracking numbers, but my pre-authorization charge from AT&T is now missing. Seems as tracking numbers are just around the corner for the overnight shipping. It looks good to reason that I will get my phone tomorrow.
What I'm saying here, is that there was a thread somewhere that basically said, if you have a '1' in the backorder field, you don't yet have a phone assigned to your account. When the field goes from '1' to '0' they've tied a phone, with an IMIE number to your order, and it will ship w/in 24 hours.
Keep the faith.

Wow... I just called and he claims that mine is out on a truck for delivery ( I am in Geneva, IL) 😕
He also said the one through Apple that was scheduled for tomorrow's delivery by 6, is ALSO on the truck for delivery!
Doesn't seem right. If any of you Chicago people call back, report your findings and see if we are just getting different stories each time.

ordered from premiere site on 6/15 @ 7:15am est..
2 upgrades, premiere orders were officially placed/processed on 6/20 @ 10:30pm...
was sitting on backorder until about 6:00pm last night for both handsets..
Just checked att order status and have tracking for both.. should have them tomorrow..

I was told they can see on there system because its seperate from the website, The website is posting so many updates its taking forever to do all of them.

My order has never had a backorder status, and I still do not have a tracking number. Calling AT&T is also no use, as all they tell me is that the phone will ship between now and July 5th. It's nice to know that being the first one to pre-order at my AT&T store is really paying off...
Thanks for that link, I tried it and it says mine has left the ramp in my area at 4 this morning, but it also says it doesnt have an estimated delivery date. The one on FedEx says delivered today but still says its at the sort facility.😕
Mine came off of backordered status sometime last night - today still shows IN PROGRESS with 100. I'm HOPING that sometime today i'll start seeing some tracking info ... Pray with me MacRumors!!
So, I just got off the phone with an AT&T Rep and he told me that my order is in a pre-paid status, which means that everything is going as it's supposed to and they're just waiting for the shipping label to get printed out so it can get shipped, and it should be shipped by tonight, so I should keep an eye on my email.
This brought my hopes up.

Can you tell me if UPS used your phone # as the reference # on your shipment?
It is far easier to check tracking information on fedex and ups by reference # than it is to keep putting that random passphrase in on att.com.

Well what do you know, I called back and spoke with a different rep and he claims I should still get it today. Why do I not believe him!
Give a call back to them Merlin and let us know what you hear, you may get a different response the second time!
