Shocked some of your authorizations are falling off.. Mine has been there since the 15th and is still there :p

I pre-ordered my iPhone4 on June 15th 1:18 pm cst. at the At&t store. The authorization (hold) for $213 that was placed on my debit card on 6/15 fell off on Friday and was immediately replaced with a new authorization (hold) for the same amount (still being held).
 
Got my 2 phones ordered and confirmed on launch day, albeit manually. Got the 2 emails for my 2 phones...all good right? Nope. Got a call from my bank today to ask me about 2 charges that they flagged as possible fraudulent charges. It was actually both charges for my iPhones. They held one and rejected the other. They have since cleared the way for the hold to go through but no idea on the second phone. The AT&T store is not sure because they can't reauthorize the charge because their system is down. To their credit they are going to work with me. They told me that if I got there at 7am and my phones were not in the shipment, they would make sure I left with my phones. Of course he promised nothing, just said he would work with me. Unreal.

Folks, I got my cacellation email this morning, but only got 1 email....I ordered 2 phones. I have a feeling my experience is much like most of the people getting their stuff cancelled...see above. I believe this is one of 2 things. I think it has to do with banks flagging the holds as possible fraudulent funds and also folks paying with a debit card and not a credit card like I was told we were suppose to...after the fact of course. Kind of like that woman who wasn't allowed to pay cash for her iPad. Why not?

Anyway, my suspicion is that people that ordered more than one phone probably had their fund flagged by their bank and that caused AT&T to cancel the order. In my case only the second phone was cancelled....so far at least.

Regardless I'll be there early on Thursday.

Wait, how is your bank flagged charges at&t's fault? :confused:

I called my CC immediately after the order to notify them about my order to avoid this problem. I also called and broke through to a higher level CSagent and had them manually port the numbers while I was on the phone. as it turns out, they had the wrong info, which would have resulted in a cancellation.

We'll see what happens, but sometimes you have to be proactive with these things. Especially when a bunch like ATT is involved.
 
Prepared for shipment after CC declined email....

Got an email on Friday saying that my CC declined. Changed my info online then called and spoke to two Apple reps who told me I was "good to go, you will get your iPhone 4 on June, 24." I checked my order status this morning and I have been updated to Prepared for Shipment.
 
Mine has been 101 since the 15th. Today(20th) now changed t o100. I guess, since ATT ships overnight. I don't expect to see notification till late next Tue or early Wed. :D

So I ordered my iphone after the alleged cutoff time (6pm, and after trying all day through apple), but the AT&T order confirmation screen said I'd get it on the 24th. My order status is still "in progress," and was never on backorder. Is there any way I might actually get it Thursday?

Oh, and my credit card hasn't been charged.

This is why I didn't trust ATT with my order. You can barely trust them to get a call through to you......

To make you feel better, the AT&T order status screen will show that until they drop it in the mail and provide the tracking info. Which, based on last year, won't be until Tuesday at the earliest.

My order went through at 630 PST on the 15th and I am prepared for shipment. If yu read a few posts up I even had a problem with my CC. Sometimes you have to bite the bullet and call a human.....
 
Soo, on the AT&T regular site for checking order statuses, most people's status as of right now is still "In Progress", correct?
Mine has been like that since I pre-ordered it at an AT&T store on the 15th. It changed from having 1's in the backorder to 1's in the qty order that night. My card still hasn't been charged, though.

Just checking to see if I'm with good company on this one. :D

Well that's encouraging. My order was around 6 PM EST. Calling AT&T right now...
 
Still in progress. CC still held. CSR told me two days ago with was scheduled to "leave on the 24th" via Priority Shipping (as to whether that is FedEx Priority Overnight or USPS Priority Mail, I don't know. I'm hoping the former.)

I only hope it shows up by the 25th as I am going to Florida for a week starting the 26th. I need to get myself a souvenir oil ball before BP caps that thing. :D
 
Yeah my CC was held by Chase last week and I had to correct it. I believe they thought me paying my phone bill AND ordering an iphone was theft.....dummies.
 
my order still says in progress and backordered. Were not screwed it only mean our phones havent arrived yet to the warehouse for them to ship it out. Also if you made the cut you will get your phone! on the first batch. I ordered mine at 8 am Central time zone.

I have chase as well, and they emailed me a couple hours after my order with an email that allowed me to authorize the transaction with a click.
 
I just called AT&T and she had no information really. She said that if I ordered it on the 15th, I should get it on the 24th. If I ordered it on the 16th, I'd get it on the 30th.
