I don't know. So much for "orders will be fulfilled in the order in which they are recieved". Mine's on back order still, and I placed the order at about 4AM on the 29th.
Interesting: How did you order from ATT on the 21st? Were they still taking pre-orders then?
What size? Mine is a 32GB.
They were closed yesterday...I have been waiting for 23 minutes to verify the status...
I can't believe it, I finally got my tracking information yesterday. Apparently FedEx picked it up today for delivery tomorrow. Only two weeks after the rest of the world got their phones, thanks AT&T!

Congrats! Where did you preorder out of curiosity? Was in online or in a store? As far as I am concerned, that was an overly long wait.
I ordered on July 1st and my QTY Backordered is still 1 for the phone and everything else. I ordered through AT&T and am a new user. It's frustrating, but I guess it's something I have to deal with.

Next time I'll know better and order from Apple directly.When the 3GS came out, I just preordered at the AT&T store and they had my phone waiting the day it came out. I don't know why I didn't do that this time.Online. And yeah it was an overly long wait.
I actually stopped at the store about 10 minutes before they opened while on my way to work only to find a line of about 20 people already waiting. Some had been camping out all night and been on the news. I stood in line for 10 minutes and then the store manager came out and told all pre-orders to move to the front of the line. Strangely I was the first of only about 3 in line who preordered. The others who had been waiting all night weren't happy.
I ordered on June 21st through the Apple online store and received a notice overnight that my 32G model has shipped! June 13 delivery according to FedEx.
That sucks. That means I have to continue maniacally checking the order status site throughout the day.
where are you guys finding out your order status? checking on the regular att site, shows no results found. i ordered on the afternoon of 7/1 for a 16gb iphone4 over the phone with att. got the email from att friday evening and replied within 2hr's. still nothing showing up on their site.
i just called and they said my order is 'in queue at the warehouse'. any ideas?
update: nevermind, i happened to check again and it FINALLY shows on att's site...as backordered. i guess it's progress though.

I ordered on 6/30 around noon, and it now says 0 in the backorder column, wasn't like that a few hours ago,
Which one did you get? Do you have a tracking number? When I called I spoke to two people both of which said it may not ship until next week.
On Premier, mine STILL hasn't been updated since July 1st. This is getting really frustrating. I'm about to call and have at it.
I ordered a 16gb 6/30 on the Premier website and mine says processing and it hasn't been updated from 7/1.
The regular At&t order status page shows back-ordered but when I called the Premier 866 number the message said my order has been processed and will ship shortly.
So three sources....three different answers
