**AT&T iPhone 4 Order Status Thread**

Apple store. I was debating between that or AT&T but it seemed like the wait was equally long. Hope I didn't choose wrong - I suck at 50/50 choices.

ETA: The other option was Priority List at the Chicago/Michigan Ave store, but I'm going out of town soon, and I didn't want to chance having it come in while I was out of town.

Priority list?? Do u have to pay for that?
 
iPhone4 16gb ordered 7/13

I ordered mine over the phone through AT&T on the 12th but my order date says the 13th, when can I possibly expect to get off backorder or to get my phone at that... anybody know

I'm pretty sure not. Unlike ordering online, you put your name on the list and they call you when they get one (and you're at the top of the list) and hold it for a day. You have to come pick it up then or they release the hold and move to the next person. You pay for it in-store. You also have to go in-store to put your name down (at least in Chicago).

Unfortunately, I hear some stores' lists are hundreds of names long. They don't tell you what your place is on the list either.

At least with my online ordering, I have a ship date (who knows if they'll stick to it) but it makes me feel better, rather than unknowing limbo on the priority list (though apparently some people get the "you're moving up the list" e-mail).
 
I ordered a 16GB in Nashua, NH AT&T store today (for in store pick up). they said it would probably take 7-10 days. I'll be sure to keep you updated
 
I don't know who's in Chicago but if this helps:

The Best Buy North Ave. just told me there are three 32gb iPhones at the Best Buy Armitage/Elston store. I haven't called that store but if any of you care, might be worth checking out. (I'm getting the 16gb so makes no difference to me)

It's shipped! UPS is holding it hostage in Fort Worth (of course).

Seems like AT&T is keeping its promise of 7-10 business day turnaround (for the most part). Be patient, folks!

you should get it monday if the trend keeps, just show a little paatience. i know just how you feel. I ended up ordering this phone because I lost my old phone on the freeway after a great party.

If it comes off back order do you get your shipping info soonafter? I came off earlier today and am still waiting for shipping info

edit: got my tracking number and answer to my own question.

thanks for the feedback, i was hoping to have it by sunday, do they ship over the weekend... and congrats on getting your shipping info when did you order yours and how did you order yours

I went to the Apple store in Tigard OR. This past Saturday to preorder an i Phone 4. Salesman told me they just received an order of 32GB phones in and would I like one. Why yes I replied and walked out with my first i Phone in less than 25 min. So far I'm very happy with it.

I ordered on the ATT site non-premier at 4PM on the 10th. Now it's either the 7th bussiness day or 10 days after you make you order, not sure how its working for them. i do not think they process orders on the weekend only ship. (office jobs you know)

Though, if you read through the thread there are some special cases where people are having issues and have to call ATT, but i'd wait until the 14th business day before working up a sweat about it.

THANKS... 4 the response i been growing real impatient but been keeping an eye on the forum and it seems like ppl havent even been coming off backorder til the 10th non business day i see its just now a waiting game since my 7/13 order date so ill have to keep waiting but hopefully it comes off backorder thurs or fri and ill get it sat maybe

Im the same position as you, i ordered 7/13 and still on backorder

I would go with ATT over Apple at this point but for the record, I ordered another iPhone today and it appears as backordered, so ya it might still take a while.
 
Ordered 2 16GB's in Brooklyn ATT store on 7/10 around 4PM, for in-store pickup. Just came off back-order tonight around 6. Hopefully shipping soon...

I also ordered through premier. I had a box called "processing" now it says "attention" - nothing else and no emails.

This is for two new 16g phones I ordered yesterday. I am unable to create an account since I do not have an acyive att phone- if anybody has a better way....

Attention is not good, call ATT and see what the problem is.
