**AT&T iPhone 4 Order Status Thread**

i know this is hard to hear, but be patient.

i ordered a 32gb from premier on 19 July, and it came off backorder and shipped this morning.

so, as long as things are going "linearly" you can hope to have your order filled and shipped in a couple of days.

I called them this morning. Apparently premier and non are "different sales channels", which really sucks. I ordered a 32 on 23 July and am still on backorder as well.
 
I was getting nervous today that I would have to probably wait the full 2 weeks from last Friday when I ordered my phone through ATT's site so I began calling all the Apple stores in this area, and DC has a lot to call, and only two of the stores had any which were only 16gigs. So I went to check my status on the website and I was shocked to see it shipped today via FedEx and was scheduled to arrive tomorrow.

See, this is what I don't understand. I ordered my 32GB the day before you (also non-Premier) and yet mine is still on backorder? How are they picking who gets their phones first? Bingo?
 
i ordered mine july15th , non premier, i just got a tracking number fed ex overnight. i ordered a 16gig. they must be trying to get rid of al the backorders before they go international end of the month

Since I have been checking this thread religiously for two weeks I thought I would give my information.

Premier Order Date: 7/8/2010
Date Added to att.com: 7/15/2010
Date off backorder: 7/27/2010 @ 10:00 AM PST

No shipping information, but will update when I get it. Looked like 13 Business days from the 8th, 8 business days from 15th.

Maybe this is a ridiculous question, but why is your order date different from the date you were added to att.com?
 
I ordered 16gb iPhone in store 7/16, they are shipping it to me. It just came off BO this morning and there is a tracking number via UPS, but no shipment details yet.

Is anyone else receiving their iphone via UPS? If so, do you know if it's 2 day??

Order 7/19 Thru Premier
Just now 11:26am MST came off back order
No Shipping information yet. Will update when they is shipping info.....

Premier orders are business/company orders and you can get discounts if you have this status (in my case my company has a premier contract, so I can get a discount on the monthly service through them). One problem though is that the premier team has to verify your information and then they manually transfer your order from the premier system to the main att.com order system. This takes some time, and you don't get your place in line until that happens. In my case it took from the 8th to the 15th, so the 15th was my new "order" date.
 
Ordered 16GB (black) through Premier on 7/13.
Showed as 7/15 order through AT&T fulfillment.
Came off Backorder 7/27 (around 11:00 CDT).
No shipping info yet (Chicago).

I just got my shipping info, my 16gb ordered 7/17 is shipping UPS 2nd day air to the AT&T store where I bought the phone.

Right. I know what premier is, unfortunately I ordered from premier so now I'm stuck doing the waiting game with all the others while people who ordered non-premier on the same day I did are getting theirs shipped. How do you know when your order was added to att.com? Is it when you got your second email from premier?

If your premier order status says processing check the att.com site with this address, but instead of order number, which will not work, use your wireless number.

i talked to someone from AT&T @ the ORDERING DEPARTMENT, cause i wanted to cancel my order(placed 7/13) since i bought one at apple and she tracked my order for me and told me it was on a truck and i should receive it tomorrow, & on their website, it's still in processing stage, so we shall see..........

It was a little disheartening to read the posts, where people ordered their 32 GB and received them several days later. Once I realized they weren't premier orders, that's when I decided to ask if there was a different sales channel for us.

Thanks for confirming what I was starting to suspect--premier orders are delayed.

How did you find out when your order was added to att.com? I had to look at https://www.wireless.att.com/order_status/ to see that my order is no longer on backorder since I checked it an hour ago (yes, I'm a little OCD).

My otterbox defender case is coming tomorrow and hopefully my new iPhone will be coming sometime this week. Woo hoo!
 
7/16 off backorder!

Ordered 16 gb from at&t store on 7/16 and it came off backorder about an hour ago! So excited! Hopefully, your projections thus far are correct and it ships out today :) will keep you all posted! There is hope finally for other 7/16ers!
 
Victory!

Found an email from AT&T sent 7/26 9:12pm thanking me for my recent order.

Checked my status to find that I have been taken off backorder.

This morning I see that shipping details have been updated. The phone will be here on 7/28.

Original order 7/13. New customer. Ordered by phone with AT&T.

*wiping tears of joy from cheeks*
 
just wanted to give an update. ordered phone 7/12 at an att store. came off back order on 7/23. shipping info on 7/26 and it is 2 day delivery through fedex. should recieve the iphone 4g 16gb black tomorrow by 4:30 central time.
