**AT&T iPhone 4 Order Status Thread**

which order status holds more water? the regular or premier site? Premier says order date june 15th which is correct, the other says june 16th backordered. order was placed early am june 15th
 
Update

Well I won't go through all of the jibber jabber. I tried ordering from Apple at 5:10 AM EST on Tuesday. Kept getting the timeout error. So I went to AT&T my wireless page. Went through the upgrade and ordered a 16GB iPhone 4. Anyways my order is through premier because I get a discount on service, up until last night I kept checking the premier site and noticed that my phone was on backorder, after the Engadget article on Pre orders being cancelled and I went to the page and my phone has been moved to in progress. So no shipment notification.

Is it possible that the Factory is sending phones to Fed-ex Hub in Memphis for distribution by AT&T, and that is why we do not have individual shipment notifications?

Ok look I am excited and a "bit" anxious too, but people you are going to give yourselves heart attacks!

A few things to remember:

1. Calm down seriously it's just a phone!
2. This is not for the cure for cancer!
3. Regardless of whether you receive then phone on 6/24, 6/25 or 8/20 you WILL get your phone!
4. The white one will come out......someday!
5. Calm down seriously it's just a phone!

Having said that I am a bit amused by the amount of people freaking WIGGING out! Yes this is a cool iPhone and I'm even one of the ones who sat at 3am for the original and 3GS but again it's a phone!

For now........breathe!

Full pallets of iPhones are shipped from China to AT&T distribution centers in the USA. AT&T checks them in and ads them to their inventory. At this point they are sorted, labeled and packaged for shipment to customers. AT&T ships them overnight to the customers. Thus AT&T customers will receive their phones at the same time Apple Customers will. The only difference is that Apple does not have the extra step that AT&T does for obvious reasons.

At the end of the day the only "Problem" is that Apple customers, seem to love bashing AT&T relentlessly. This breeds the panic and paranoia that we are seeing on this forum.

5 "things" are more than a few. A few would have been 2-3. Your credibility has already been lost but I'll continue just so theres not a shadow of a doubt.

It is actually, an iphone, meaning it more than just a device which makes phone calls. For all things in my life, there is an app, phone just happens to be one of them. This is your strike 2.

2. This is not for the cure for cancer!
You never know what features could be withheld from us as a surprise. Steve Jobs is one tricky fellow. Also, iChemo could be included in a future firmware update so you shouldn't assume that you are correct. Remember when you assume you make an A** of u and me.

3. Regardless of whether you receive then phone on 6/24, 6/25 or 8/20 you WILL get your phone!
This point is also flawed because of assumption. How do you know I will not die due to suicide from not receiving my phone on day 1 of availability, thus making it imposible to receive it when it eventually does arrive. There are millions of things that could prevent me from recieving the phone on a day other than the 24th. You are not god, you cannot be certain of your statement. You now have 4 strikes and a god complex.


4. The white one will come out......someday!
Assumption #3 and strike #5! Millions of things could prevent white iphones from entering the market. Plus, it is more likely than not that steve jobs is a member of this forum and all others and is probably reading every one of our complaints and addressing them. Therefor, if enough of us complain he will see how important it is.

You may want to get yourself checked for alzheimer's or other neuro-degenerative desieses because this was your first point and if over the course of writing the following 3 points you forgot you had already made the point and stated it again, you may be suffering from a condition that require medical attention. Or perhaps just wait for steve jobs to release iRemember with the iphone 5 or in a future firmware update.

it says new service on top ven though its an upgrade, and my my regular status says back ordered and date ordered 16th im confident i will get it 24th does anyone share my status

Same here. I ordered shortly after you, approx 1:45 est.
 
Im starting the "Apple Anonymous"

Ok, I'll go first.... Hi, I'm Dan, and I've been checking my order status every 5-10 minutes...


Everything for me is still "Processing". I've noticed no other business customers had their orders canceled... Am I correct?
 
AT&T Premier pre-order here too. i ordered on the 15th at approx 5:30PM EST. I called AT&T Premier on Friday and was told me order is all set (credit approved, CC fine, etc...). They are are "just waiting on the phone to ship out to me." She said all premier orders that were placed before the end of the day on the 16th will ship out between the 23rd and the 28th! Even if it says "backorder!"

Hope that helps anyone else out there.

same here except mine was ordered several hours earlier
