mine still shows 'processing' but I can still only check status via the premier checker
Same here. Order date 15th, last update 19th, still shows processing, and can't check the status on the main site,
I ordered at 10:30 est on the 15th. Two 32bg and 1 16gb. None have been listed as backordered at any point.
This is one of the most useful post out of the existing 34 pages!!!! I also say this bc if this info is correct then im SET!!
looks like i'm set too! my order status has never had anything under the back order column. sweetttt.
I got hit with the cancellation blues last night. Went to AT&T today to see why they cancelled my order. The sales guy looked into his system to find out why and it said "Pending", not cancelled. He says that his system is official and that the website one is not and that bogus cancellations do happen. So he forwarded on my cancellation emails to his regional manager to investigate further and to go back tomorrow to find out the outcome, but as far as he is concerned my order is still coming. I will update tomorrow what happens.
Well according to that I'm getting it for launch.
But mine started "Backordered" then 1 day later, the flag was removed. So IDK.
Let's hope for the best.

I ordered two 32 GB phones at 7:15 Central on 6/15 via Premier and have been getting the "processing" status since and was unable to view my status via the regular site. I had some concerns with both of my lines being upgraded since my confirmation email showed both phones tied to my primary number, so I called AT&T. They said that it processed fine and applied to both phones, but had an order date of 6/20. She said however that they weren't back-ordered and that I should expect them on launch day. She also gave me a new confirmation number which I was able to use on the regular AT&T order status page. It has an ordered date of 6/20 and says they are in a back-ordered status. I guess at least there's no alert so hopefully everything is all good. I just thought it was weird that 6/20 was posting as the Date Ordered.

My data point: Ordered a 32GB black phone on our family plan from AT&T @ 0735 on 6/15/10, printed off the confirmation receipt.
From the order date through early afternoon on the 16th, system couldn't find the order. When it did come up, the qty was listed as back ordered and the order date was 6/16/10.
EDIT: I received the "Your recent online AT&T order" confirmation email on 6/17 @ 1023 EDT.
A call to AMEX confirmed an authorization was put on my card around 0040 on 6/16/10.
A few days ago, the qty changed from back ordered to "ordered" and the status is "processing".
I hope to get the phone on launch day, but if not, it's not a big deal. My 3G has served me well for the past 23.5 months, a few days/weeks here or there won't be a big deal.
Plus, time for the iphone-dev team to figure out iOS 4

I ordered a 32 GB phone and received my confirmation email at 4:44 am CDT on the 15th through the Premier site. Premier shows status as 'processing' and standard shows as backordered. Had a hold on my card that has dropped off.
Ordered in store about 11am on the 15th. Consultant had to take info manually to put in later when servers jammed. Got a call about 8:30 that it was in the system. Got an email conf. later that night.
It has always been in "processing" and has never been in backorder. date shows 6/15/10. Checked contract date and changed to 2012, so everything looks good.
Funny though, I dont know if they time she took the order (11am) or the time it was input (after cuttoff for 24th delivery) is what matters, but according to the link and a lot of other posts I should be in line for the 24th.
So much for theories!
either that fsufan guy 3 posts above is the first ATT shipment or he's an idiot for posting in the wrong thread
I received a call back from AT&T and found out that despite their internal system saying my order is pending, the fact is it is still cancelled. They have no explanation why, but I am SOL and they have to redo the order some time next week when that start taking orders again.

Please confirm whether or not you are in the correct thread... this is getting my hopes up, but probably falsely because I'm sure you're in the wrong place...
I ordered at 6am pacific, 32 GB, premiere says processing main att still shows backordered...
So I ordered mine through ATT and in the order status I have never been on backorder, one 32gb phone ordered on what the order status says the 16th. I have not gotten an email but the order status is in progress.
Is this normal not to get an email with all the chaos going on?
